Whoa! Did not think that the PSP could handle so many enemies on screen at once.
This is by far one of the greatest psp games to ever exist it even plays great on your phone
Easily, along with Samurai warriors 4, and 4-2. Also if you enjoy dynasty warriors 8 xtreme legends ce, and can deal with the frame rate slowdowns totally worth it as well. If you have a vita of course :)

I freakin' LOVE this game!
The story, the gameplay, the kill rate, I love it all.
Some people don't like the 3 character tag teams, but I love that too, because it has saved my ass several times.
This freaking game is unplayable hard tho. Everything one shots you.
Most of the older warriors games were like that. We were used to that, the newer warriors games, especially orochi 3-4 are to incredibly easy compared.
@stardustx1997 True but it has made games better. Such as X-men origins wolverine. Personally I like bloody games so this is just my opinion. I disagree though that adding blood to a game makes it mortal kombat.
This game is brimming with content. The abilities for characters, effects on the weapons, and the treasures to add to the three slots is astounding. I personally like Lubus since he's a lower type character. Decked him out with boost, potence, power, awakening, vitality, cavalier, and technique for my tech warriors all maxed out of course. I use bolt, flash, flAme, brave, might, slAy, agility, and range for his weapon. On top if that his fourth weapon has almighty, resolve, and stability so I'm pretty untouchable and not affected by stuns if I charge enough. His c3 charge is amazing.

If I wanna know how good a game is, and I think it might be worth my time, sure enough you have a review of it on the system I want it for. You are basically the greatest reviewer of games I've ever had the pleasure of witnessing.
As someone who's played these's "Warriors" games in abundance, I can see that Koei has finally perfected the formula. I started playing waaay back at Dynasty Warriors 3, and that's still one of my all time favorite games. I would play Orochi Warriors, but I don't own a PSP.

I love Kunoichi ,she is so fast and she rock the shit out of dem demons ,i once had a bitch fight with her and Da Ji (my fav bitch in gaming),it was EPIC !!! i kick the shit out of her snake ass !!! love this game !!!
@Khimeran77 Hey, did you buy DW7? I may have done you a disservice, as I've come to realise DW7 has probably the worst AI of any of these games. It is the best DW at most things, but unfortunately the gameplay takes a nosedive in this one, I was too busy enjoying the initial experience to notice. Might not be such a bad thing for you, as a beginner though, but many of the last gen games blow the gameplay of DW7 out of the water. Just thought I'd tell you that.
@Khimeran77 Don't go too deep into the playthrough especially since you haven't experienced the story before. You'll ruin it for yourself if you do. I eneded up watching the entire thing before getting the game, and really wish I hadn't done.
DW games have always got poor reviews from critics. It angers me, because they are fantastic games, and I don't know if I'd ever have got into them if it wasn't for a DW2 demo coming with my PS2. So I'm happy to help someone new try these games.
Oh wow. This makes the other PSP Warriors games, Dynasty Warriors, Dynasty Warriors Vol. 2 and Samurai Warriors State of War look like absolute garbage by comparison. I feel almost cheated by how blatantly superior this is to the other ones.
Still, maybe it helped that they could package this in from the PS2 version, but I'm still shocked they could fit it all in so well. It's all there, just inferior graphics.
Wait, you said its also for the ps2? That is good. I'll check it out. Looks like a good slash'em beat'em up type of game. But I don't know. It seems like they don't grade you on your styles like in Devil May Cry 3&4. Just combos up to, lol, 300 or something. Anyway, if its a good price for the ps2. Hmm. But DMC is much challenging and focuses on style. And WARRIORS OROCHI, the way you put it. It seems like a "button mashing" game. Not a "style" game like in DMC. Some1 tell me if I'm wrong and Y.

Similar to it's console compatriots, this game is good when you first start playing the game it appears good. However, puta fwe hours into it and you will discover that the gameplay is repetitious. if you are considering this as a possible purchase please visit metacritic's web site and check out the reviews.
the point of my comment was because you said games like DW and SW games felt repetitive. That is because they share the same game/battle system. A lot of games created by different companies use the same battle system but try to make it unique, even though its basically the same
well you can't blame these kind of games because a lot of other games share the same battle syste.
EX: Warriors of Orochi = Dynasty Warriors
Final Fantasy VII = Disgaea
Street fighter = Mortal Kombat
the game designers use a battle system template and makes the games from there.
It's...not a great game technicly. It's REALLY fun if you can just turn your brain off and mindlessly brawl, unlocking new characters and stuff. but it's been the same kinda of akward game that it's always been (it's a spinoff of Dynasty Warriors)
I still love it though and love playing multiplayer
If your looking for a awesome massive army hackn slash game, get Spartan: Total Warrior. It isn't that repetitive and enemies doesn't disappear in 1 second when they die. Plus its cool, because you can paint the ground with blood.
include the superb bg music. especially "arena"
the bad thing was, it has painful voiceactors for the english version. not saying all of them. but most of them are.
but yoshimoto imagawa has the best english voice ever HAHA
IDK why but this reminds me so much of the Nobunaga games IDK if that is the name but basically you controlled one massive army or at times many and fought others god that game was awesome.
maybe he's expecting something like God of War PSP version. I find GOW graphic is the best so far. the matter of fact, i still love Warriors Orochi 2, it's still awesome. It's really killing my time.
@Khimeran77 You're welcome. Buying DW7 when the price drops may be a wise idea. And then, if you like it, buy a PS2 and some of the old games, because they're great! :)
@whyichigo Benkei is a character exclusive to the PSP version of Orochi 2, as are Sanzang Fashi, Gyuki (Boar), and Dodomeki (Ninja).
lol whats sad is the psp graphics aren't far from the graphics on the big consoles ;D

Ad Hoc mode is like LAN for computers. That is to say that you can play with other people nearby (i.e. - in the same room).
i wonder hu has unlock Orochi X for the psp ver... hope dat guy post a video about it cos ITS WAT I HV BEEN PLAYING FOR!!!!

@BOOMheadshot771 You could've also bought this on the Xbox 360 or just the PSP, with the latter offering the most content. I own all version, and while I usually go for the PlayStation-versions of Warriors-games, I went to Xbox 360 for this one. And if I feel like crazy, I'll play Orochi Z on the PS3, which is essentially Warriors Orochi 1 + Warriors Orochi 2 in one game. :)
Sadly, that one is only in Japanese...
I have been asking DW gamers because they seem like they know what they are talking about, like yourself. I am not a genre specific & there have been so many great new title launches. I haven't had a chance to buy a DW game yet. I'm currently playing L.A. Noire, Borderlands GOTY and Portal 2. I own both Xbox 360 & PS3, so I will be getting the exclusive titles for both, next being InFAMOUS 2. I will buy a DW when things slow down. I do appreciate your DW guidence though & I will let you know.
I have been looking to buy a "starter" game in this genre. I "ONLY" own PS3, Xbox 360,& PSP. Can someone please recomend a Dynasty Warriors or Warriors Orochi that I should buy? Gamers keep telling me to buy DW4, but I DO NOT OWN A PS2! Any help would be much appreciated. I am looking to buy 1 psp game in this genre 7 also 1 (either Xbox 360 or PS3) game in this genre. Thanks again because I wouldn't know where to begin.
It doesn't appeal to me, the AI seems to be really retarded to the point of being dull, there's no fun on being surrounded by 300 enemies when actually only 3 are attacking, take for instance real button mashers and beat em ups like the old The Simpsons arcade, there wasn't need of 300 enemies on screen, when having only around 5 could be enough to keep you punished to the end whithout any chances.
@Lorric101 It's hard to believe that so many gamers are being so cool! The reason that I say that is because I am use to seeing a ton of fanboy comments, but I have been receiving nothing but helpful reply's from gamers and even more on a Dynasty Warriors 7 review. LOL, maybe there is some hope out there! Thanks again and I will check out that play through!
I know that a lot of people said these koei's kinda games are bad and repeat itself in every series, but I don't know, It's sooo fuckin' addicting, plus, there are no raging kids shouting n raging on our earphone when playing multiplayer, just a friend beside you shouting for help. awesome
It's a shame that these games get a bad rep... In all honesty there no more repetitive than any shooter or sports game...
Sure there are flaws with them but there always good fun to play

@barrak101 Awasome and thanks for the feedback. I think that I will just go ahead and take the big plunge and chance spending $60 on DW7. I have been hearing very good things about it. I haven't played a Japanese themed game since Onimushi series, which I wish would come back.
@eastreddragon Well wo did change in ways unlike the other warriors games.New storyline,New attacks(Special attacks and musou chains along with teamwork attacks(wo2 only),Three character team battles,And a epic final battle stage.Only thing that didn`t improve was graphics but it is very good.
in the beginning try using was it c2 or c3 i dont remember but its the one where lu bu swings his spear over his head... it pests them at start belive me :D try using nu wa's special when enemy is in the air and it usually goes FLLLLLYYYYYIIIIINNNNNGGGG away (usuallu) =P
if this is your first review of a warriors game, I must warn, or if you've already played another, the games have been critized for not changing much, I do hope that (as a die hard fan of the series) it will not change your opinion of the games.
Does anyone else find the game more fun on the psp than the console versions? The game is such a great time waster if you were to take this on the go. That's why I play this game more on the psp.
I own both Warriors Orochi and Warriors Orochi 2 and i can use Kunoichi like she is immortal, she is level 93 sio let me show you how i can use Kunoichi but sadly i dont have a video camera.....
dynasty warriors and its fellow games would be more fun if it was online, then it would actually be a challenge.

@adolfobjr The first is only worth getting for the story. If you don't care about it, get the second one. It has a lot more characters, better stages, and a really fun VS mode.

Everytime I press "Start" on the Psp Go, I somtimes accidently press "Select" too and it resets the game. Pisses me off!!! I love the Psp Go's design but I hate the button positions!

the entire series is a fantastic hack and slash game
plus, it uses real people from the CHinese Revolution
(except Diao Chan who was created in a movie to make the evil Lu Bu seem human)

@Khimeran77 NAh you should Start with Dw6 or Dw Strikeforce(Warning it will take some time getting used to Playing Strikeforce but it will pay off ).

I picked this up on monday and i'm having a ball with it!..trying track down dynasty warriors: strikeforce for psp now.
perfect for handheld. no one wants to think and concentrate when you're on the go. leave that for the console games.
On Gamespot the user rating is about 8. IGN is all about the hype, and Gamespot proberbly just followed IGN's rating.

If you want to get into Dynasty Warriors, I would suggest Dynasty Warriors 5: Empires for the Xbox 360.
I think you can But it's better on a psp it haves 2 extra characters and 12 extra dramatic stages :D
