Watching your vlogmas has been the highlight of my day all month. Seriously the best volgmas.
They fly in a v because its the most energy efficient. The ones at the front take in the wind and the ones at the back get a break because of tail winds...they switch spots when they get tired. Something like that
Don't give up on your plant! Try soaking it in a sink (or appropriately large bowl/bucket) of water, pot and all... enough that the leaves aren't all submerged. Or run water over it for a few minutes. Then let it drain overnight and stick it in a window with a curtain for a little sun, but not too much that it burns. I believe in you, Gardener Lily!

The V-coordination reduces air resistance for the birds behind the first one! At least from what I remember from my childhood

To answer Rich's thought of the day: Birds fly in a V formation because it cuts down on wind sheer and turbulence. The birds at the front take the brunt of the wind and give the birds at the back a rest. And then they rotate.
Ducks fly 'in v-formation' to conserve their energy, they're all slightly above the one in front of them, so they don't take the wind full on. They take turns being at the front. Not unlike a group of cyclists in the Tour de France, to be honest. Surprised a cyclist like Rich did not know that.
ducks fly in a "V" because it's more aerodynamic! Cuts the air and makes it easier for the ducks behind the 1st one. And they switch up who's first too :)

you guys are coming to vienna !! i feel kind of obligated to give you some tips then, cause i'm studying here... food-wise you have to taste neni at naschmarkt (lovely oriental food at a nice market) and scala in servitengasse (really good italian food) in the same street there's a restaurant called porzellan (they serve delicious lunch-menus, but otherwise also have a really nice menu anyway), for breakfast i love the cafe himmelblau at kutschkergasse... little insider tip, best christmas market is the one at "spittelberg" not so touristy compared to the others :) hope you'll enjoy vienna, might be the best time to visit, the hole city is so christmassy!

Ducks fly in a "V" so that each bird (except for the one at the tip) flies in the slipstream of the bird in front of it. The group take turns to be at the front to share out the hard work.

Are you guys going to put some sort of pale curtain/voile panels across the clothing rail alcove in your bedroom eventually? Takes up zero room compared to doors, and it makes a small space much more calming when you can't see all your clothes and storage (I used to have clothing storage exactly like that and having it easily hidden away is awesome) x

In Germany, this kind of paper game is called "Himmel und Hölle" which means "heaven and hell" in english! Maybe it is the same in both languages :)
I didn't like the winner's song either! It didn't really suit either of the acts. But Adele was brilliant! Worth watching the final just for her.

We have cotton candy grapes here in Alberta and I go crazy when they're in stock as well. LOL :)
It's called "Cotton Candy" grapes here. I get it at Save-On-Foods. I'm in Alberta BTW. Also, I only found it in stock during late summer and early fall. :)

the ability to roll your tongue is genetic, you guessed that right! :)
Lily it's because you're homozygous recessive!! The tongue rolling gene is an allele and can be passed on. It is dominant so if you have one then you can which is why most people can. I'm the only person in my biology class that can! Not feeling so alone now 😂 great vlog btw loving vlogmas

+miamariaminiskirt well when she has both recessive 'not rolling' genes from her parents (which won't affect them because they each have one rolling-gene which is dominant over the not-rolling) coming together she can't.
We've learnt in biology that the tongue thing is pure genetics =) same as clapping hands (right over left or the other way around), finger locking (which thumb is on top), cross arms and some other things =)

Apparently in u are sitting in a group of people their is always one person who can't roll their tongue. It's alway true when I'm sitting with group of people.....
Lily, the tongue rolling thing is genetic. You can either do it or not, and it's dependent on a specific gene. Funny huh?
+Elsha1109 Well I did learn this in college, so I wasn't intentionally spreading false knowledge. It's not that serious of a thing, lol. I just Googled it and apparently some research says that it is a mix of genetics and environment. They say it's "complicated". Just goes to show how "scientific" information can change over the years.
