the fact that tagey's real form is mario, and fake dev's real form is wario is linking to the games, which is good in my opinion. infact, this series links to the games a lot in general
Honestly, even though the game tries to make me feel bad for him, I don’t care. He killed Katie and everyone else. Also his design is sick as hell, especially the unmasked one.
The game doesn't make you feel bad for him. Some of the creatures Fake Dev has made literally seem like they are in constant pain (especially Wario and Waluigi clones), plus both Katie and Carlos call him out on his "pure as light" intentions. If anything, the game makes you hate him.
As the writter of the game, yeah pretty much the game makes you hate him. He originally started all of this out of genuine good intentions then quickly got corrupted overtime as he turned his cause into a nightmarish spectacle just for his Ego, with his ultimate goal being opening a breach between the digital and real world with the excuse of "letting us never become lost media" when in reality his dry ass wanted to murder and replace EpicTagey out of spite and envy just because he was better than him developing games, to the point of becoming his creator's own inner demons and mentaly destroying him throughout the years to have some sort of advantage. Fake Developer began detached from Wario's character when first born, but this rivalry against his own father pretty much turned him into something even worse than Wario, to the point of betraying EMMA and sealing her in broken code to have more power to create his own games. By the time CF2 happens he's a lost cause, if anything his ego allowed Tagey (Real Dev) to help Carlos and Katie defeat him by turning Carlos execution into a game. So yeah, won't say much else but what ended up happening to him at the end was rightfully deserved, a shame he never turned back.
