Damn it! I love both these cars, and I still do. This didn't help me choose at all. ..... Guess I'll just have to get the Jag for me and the Volvo for my gf. Ps: I still love your videos man. They're the only "vs" videos that actually compare vehicles while the rest just show stock footage or commercials from the manufacturer. As a suggestion for the future, can you add to your price comparison the top trim with most of the major options that most people would want. These two cars have a base model, no option difference of about $4k, but their top of the line fully optioned difference is about $20k. The Jag gets expensive very quickly, and that's a good thing to put in your vs videos.
Jeff, we are glad you like our videos. Your suggestion about adding a top of the range version price is very interesting. We might add it to our comparisons soon. The problem with prices is the difference in models manufacturers are offering in different countries. ps: we hope you and your gf will soon get these two in your garage :-)
I like the E-Pace but I think Jaguar did a fantastic job with the F-Pace instead. It is difficult to justify for the E-pace higher sticker price (no apple car play, no android car play, cheap materials, poor mpg, sub par engines, sluggish infotainment). Ian Callum does a decent job with the design but Jaguar needs to step back and tweak lot of different things to bring it back to competition. Jaguar seriously need to work on their pricing and if they want to be called a premium brand they should use high end material (leather, wood) to make the cabin look much better. You cannot compete with merc, bmw and audi with substandard materials. Another thing, they might have got much better with reliability from where they were under FORD but it still needs lot of other detailing to gain customer confidence. People whoever wants to buy a Jaguar, the first question they ask before anything else is it looks fantastic but how reliable is Jaguar even though with a 5 yr/60 K warranty Volvo maybe the best out of the lot but time will tell about the cheap Chinese parts reliability even though manufactured in Sweden. Personally I will pick the Jaguar I-Pace instead
love the E-Pace I don't have to have a lot of cargo space I have a Buick Lacrosse I pull out when I have guest otherwise I would be by myself in the Jag I am looking at a white one with black wheels I believe it said it's the dynamic haven't drove it yet can't wait
The Volvo xc40 does not have a 1.5 ltr engine, next your luggage capacity figure are wrong. The Volvo has a significant larger boot than the E pace. You need to look can figure again and get your info correct.
Actually XC40 does have a 1.5-litre engine, more info here: www.media.volvocars.com/global/en-gb/media/pressreleases/223191/volvo-cars-debuts-three-cylinder-engine-in-new-xc40-compact-suv The information about luggage volume is also taken from their official page: www.volvocars.com/intl/cars/new-models/xc40/specifications Have a nice day!
If you look at the official Jaguar page www.jaguar.com/jaguar-range/e-pace/specifications/index.html the width is 1,984 mm, as shown in our video. Have a nice day!
Fantastic job done. Keep up the good work!
Thanks! Will do :-)

I liked the E-Pace and I suppose I still do, but holy ****, the XC40 is one gorgeous crossover SUV. Volvo has been killing it over the last few years.
