The Phillies last made the playoffs when I was 12. This decade was essentially the death of my childhood and me developing into an angry and bitter Philly fan. Now I know how my parents felt from 1994 to 2006.
What made me the most upset was how Halladay died when I was 19. I remember 2010 as a great year, when he threw two no hitters, but now I cry a little when remembering it.
The ‘07-2012 Phillies played an exciting brand of baseball. Very intentional with every swing. That was my childhood. Today’s era of launch angle, exit velocity, power hitting, and three-outcome baseball means we may never see it again.
We started the decade with guys like Ryan Howard, we ended it with Bryce Harper hitting a walk off grand slam, and gave TMac one of his best calls ever
First, let me say that I am 68 years old and have been collecting Social Security for 2 years now. Before that happened, there were probably several long ballgames that made me say, "By the time this one is over, I'll be collecting Social Security." Well, that literally happened in that 7-4 game against the Dodgers in 2018. It began the night before my first-ever Social Security direct deposit was to be made to my bank account and didn't end until after midnight. Also, Trevor Plouffe was playing third base, and this was his first NL homer. It was the Dodgers who were most likely to have a third baseman hit his first NL homer that night. Manny Machado had just been traded to them.
I witnessed both harpers grandslam and Rodriguez walk off. I don’t think I’ll ever beat witnessing Harper Grandslam. Also no one ever come through when needed like Ruiz
So when i was very young, either in 2010. 2011 or 2012, i can remember Jim Thome hitting a Walk off homer into the Second Deck in the Day uniforms... It was hit to right field, it was so long ago i can't remember the date or the team they played
You missed Freddie Freeman's error on a Galvis grounder in April 2015 for a 1-0 win. Which is a shame because that was the first walk-off I ever saw in person lol
The last untainted sport there is. It's the hardest to set up as to make sure which team wins when the officials want to decide who they want to win or not. Or who even makes the make the playoffs and wins a championship. A baseball will go wherever it's suppose to when connected, or when a home run is a home run an what not. Just like a out is an out but it's not like you can't set up most of that stuff, so it's a lot harder than any other sport to cheat like the others like football where a ump can cheat for a QB, WR def an so forth, which is why I will always love the great American pass time because it's just like that speech from Field of Dreams, Baseball Ray, etc, etc, etc.
werth, j roll, utley, chooch cole, ryan etc... were my childhood. Almost shed some tears watching this. miss the 2007-2012 era
Not even a Phillies fan and got this recommended with 73 views. Good sign this might blow up for you lol
It has blown up
I started watching the Phillies when I was 8 in 2016. I have never seen the light of a winning season ever. I hope it can change this year :(
44k views now 😂
So what this video tells me is that Raul Ibanez and Chooch were the most clutch players in Phillies history 😂😂
0:34 that Rollins bat flip tho.
It jumped out of his hand 😂

Really felt that man. We can all thank Ruben Amaro for the downfall of the Phils.

I got to witness the best years of the Phillies in my life when I was in my 20s. The team they had from 2007-2011 was so fun to watch
If you get angry and bitter over a sports team you need to seriously realign your priorities
@@strongereveryday2302 I'm angry and bitter in terms of my fandom for this team. It doesn't affect my life beyond that.
I remember staying up late and watch the game that’s starts at about the 3:00 mark. They scored 6-8 runs in the 9th! Great memories!

Nick Ferrante Kruky yelling “OH MY GAWD”
That was awesome, I was listening live
One of T Macs WORST calls!
Kept yapping nonstop and tried to yell over the crowd.
Moments like that need no explanation.
10:25 I was at this game, the first game I went to with just my father and no one else, and it was so special I’ll never forget it.
Great vid man this deserves more than 4K views
3:56 In 2011, a National League exhibition game. In 2022, the World Series.
That Harper walk off GS vs the Cubs was iconic! That was one of his first moments here!
Tom McCarthy sounds so young back then crazy
I miss the 2010 Philadelphia Phillies best moments
I was at that pence walkoff homer game at 7:19 he hit 2 bombs that game if I remember correctly and since he was my favorite player I went CRAZY😂
I love the Phillies my first shirt was Ryan Howard that is how long I like them
My god. We really are the best fans
T-Mac is the new Voice of Summer for the younger generation.
Forgot the Herrera walk off double in 2015
I saw 3 of these live...all 3 were in consecutive games I went to, 1 every year. I believe it was from 2009-2011
I remember watching Bryce hit that walk off and couldnt believe my eyes
Boy, do I miss baseball! Nothing like walk off wins.
31:34 most replayed.
still cant believe we going to the World Series. GO PHIGHTINS!!!!!!!!!1
Dawg those Phillies teams in 2010 and 2011 r ten times better than some of the teams that r elite now in mlb

Miss these days
I was at the Mayberry grand slam walk off. That was awesome
Jim Thome was a monster
You missed a 2014 14th inning home run by chase Utley against the marlins.
Lotta names from the past that I forgot about!! Aaron Alther!!
Just here to Remeber the good ole days
11:51 the year I started rooting for the Phillies
Brian Schneider looks like he could be chase utleys long lost dad
So when i was very young, either in 2010. 2011 or 2012, i can remember Jim Thome hitting a Walk off homer into the Second Deck in the Day uniforms... It was hit to right field, it was so long ago i can't remember the date or the team they played
tmac makes me love life
that mayberry guy was enormous did you see him next to ryan howard
Wait, are we missing Utley’s 2014 walk off 14th inning homer against Miami at CBP?
2010 team was better than the one that won it all. Still hurts to this day to get bounced like that in the NLCS
And then got bounced the next year in nlds while having the best record in baseball 😔
Great job Phillies😊😊😘
Rauul was involved in a lot of these. Really like Ibanez!
Linda S I got a foul ball from him in 2011, he was very good!
@@PhillyPhansUnited The 19 inning game is the first that comes to my mind
Forgot Odubel Herrera's walk off for his first career hit against the nationals
He also forgot the Chase Utley walk off home run in 2014 against the Marlins
8:02 8:03 8:04 8:05 OUT????!
31:51 best part
Man that 2015 team was bad
AGG AKA the Damp Corpse of Ryan and Friends
AGG facts worse than the other bad teams we had the last 9 years
T Mac is awesome.
John Mayberry Jr is the all time walk off hits leader, don’t fact check me.
Jacob Rodriguez JMJ 4 Life
Those teams were better then the phillie teams of a few yrs ago before Bryce came
Poor Cincy lol goodness
I was at 30:57
Nathan Davies I was at 29:40
22:30 I was at that game
Lol how much 5-4’s are there lol
Boy, I miss those days when they had Howard, Rollin Chooch, Utley, etc.
Chooch! The secret weapon! Also miss Charlie more than anything.
You missed Freddie Freeman's error on a Galvis grounder in April 2015 for a 1-0 win. Which is a shame because that was the first walk-off I ever saw in person lol
David Gough that season was a disaster

I hate Tom McCarthy
