    This is probably the most efficient fastest way I’ve seen!!. A few questions though what is the max length of wall you would make up? As past a point it gets too heavy to lift up?. Also if the floor to ceiling height varies would you cut the studs the same length and then just use folding wedges?, even if the difference was 20mm say?. And also how much square metres of studwork can you do in a day using this method. Really love your efficiency!

      thankyou for your comment! yes this method works best for me! 💪 ill do the wall as long as the timber we are supplied with (4.8m) and if its heavy get a few of us to lift it. if the difference is anymore than say 5 - 10mm i would do it a leg at a time i think. most of the time its pretty close though! im not to sure on how much i could do in a day, depends on house types etc, but id try to get most of a 3 bed house done in a day if there was 2 of us. thanks for your comment 👌👍

    a good example of how to set out and frame studding. Back in the day I would be cutting the 100 uprights required in one stack and to the tightest length on the stools with the chainsaw. Sadly its a layer at a time now with the circular.

    Hi Ashley. Absolutely loved the chest cam footage mate.🤩 Chest cams are not easy to get set to the right angle and I think you got it spot on.👍 (I hope it was a chesty mount). Great video bud.

      Cheers mate! I recorded a lot in that 1st fix with the chest mount and it’s a lot of trial and error! Haha when nailing the walls up I can just see my feet 🤣. Think it’s a cool angle tho when it’s pointing the right way 🤣👌. Thanks for your comment 👍💪

      @@ashleydavenport3794 I hear you mate. I did a load of stuff with a chest mount, and half of it was my feet as well.🤪 Its great stuff though when its on target.😎

      cheers mate! sometimes we set the mitre saw up but mostly just use the circyy. with a good blade in i find it just as quick and neat. no real reason really just what mood im in and how close i can get the van to the plot hahah!

    Nice to see you boys mixing the camera work up. Cheeky little question what sort of price you getting up your way for that first fix. I've just done joist and flooring for three bed detached house today £290 Doncaster area. Stairs £180 double turn and roof 12 trusses £310 straight run and fascia. Not been give price for first fix yet so was just interested if mine are in same price range.

    Do you allow for the wall covering? plasterboard? or just go with the size it has on the plan.

    • @ashleydavenport3794
      @ashleydavenport3794  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Do you mean the dot n dab pal? We don’t because they board the studs first so don’t need to worry about allowing for dot n dab on the block work 👌

    Chopsaw and bench lads to much back bending . Lazer level gives you right head size . Block at the bottom of corner saves you marking 3 suds

    • @ashleydavenport3794
      @ashleydavenport3794  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      yeah thats a good idea with the lazer, need to start using it more! get in the 21st century hahah!. not sure what you mean with the block at the bottom? leg - block - leg? rather than marking it out just nail that in?
