Yes, some of barioth’s attacks are better to counter with rage slash. There’s probably a way to use TCS with it but it’s significantly harder to land both hits consistently, especially with how random his AI can be
@@incrediblyfun7026 There's a bunch more monsters in this game that combo attacks so I think rage slash can still be super helpful. It's interesting to see where people decide to use it.
I prefer contents like this than the 3min or less speedrun because I can see what you're doing and why you do that or this. I can take it as reference to get better at GS

Also after fighting him a lot, it seems he loves to use the tornado in the beginning of the fight and has a higher chance of using it again if he hasn’t used the tornado in awhile. Also when Barioth is tired he is unable to spit out the tornado so it is a free opening.
Subbed cause GS users are absolute Chads. Also I used to main Swaxr and GS in world but in rise eversince bullet barrage came out gunlance is easy mode but I would like to get back into GS. Any tips?
I apologize for the late response, but I’d say when getting into GS it’s important to learn the monster’s attack patterns and movements because that’s really what GS is all about!
I’m learning GS after being a LS main and I’m really digging it! I was just about to fight an afflicted Barioth when I saw your video, and it gives me a much better idea of where the openings are. One question, why did you not use tackle very much in this run? Change of pace or is it less optimal now?

Also, for any monster that is exhausted, they will usually be unable to use an elemental or status projectile.

He uses no mini bombs. He spams not traps. A true man of The Greatest Sword.

What was the point of you switching skills? Did one have adamant and not true charged slash?
One scroll has True charged slash and the other has Rage slash.

@@Iispj it has the highest raw for fire element and Barioth is weak to fire so I decided to use it over the Royal GS
