I actually talked to a few guys online in sweeden and finland i belive it was? But anyway even they said they call it a Rave, which surprised me but it is what it is lol
Great vid guys....placed my order a few days ago for this beast ! Got a chance to ride it around 20 miles a week or so ago....all I could say when I got off it, is WOW ! A little adjustment when I get this sled, and I am gonna be one happy camper ! If BRP brings the other LYNX models to North America next year, they are going to sell like hot cakes !
I just Love the color remember me the Ski-doo blizzard 7500 and 9500 1981 (just beautiful sled) I'm a olds Ski-doo and Moto-Ski fans...i didn't have a clue Lynx was made in Finland since 1967 ...
Great video Gary! I'm sure many people will find it helpful with their purchasing decision. Great song at the start, BTW (I may have heard it before 😀)
Lynx Rave is THE BEST trail snowmobile in the market rn (imo) , bc it is designed to handle the biggest bumps you can find. It rides like motocross bike
Yes we know that.... he was referring to the mountain adjustment lever on the fly like his summit has. Who wants to get out tools on the side of a trail? And then adjust it back when you want to Wheelie again in the same afternoon
yes i rode a pro-s.... not the pro-x although a buddy has one.... rode a matryx as well. i wouldnt agree its better than this - Lynx for the Win.... but ride one and let me know what you think
I rode pro s for 1200 miles that has got to be the worst rear suspension ever to hit the snow, really harsh and with no way to adjust rebound that thing is borderline dangerous, there's a reason why its discontinued
@@AnonymousPhucker we adjusted the clickers and compression as well. Adam knows what he’s doing. It was very much improved when he was done. I think if we spent a bit more time with it, we could have got it 👌
I’m coming off a freeride 850 137 with a 1.75 lug and I enjoy off trail riding a lot. I was thinking of picking up the lynx rave re and putting a 1.75 or 2 inch lug on it. Do you guys think the sled would be any good off trail? I just wanted your opinion cause my freeride has a narrower front.
Yeah and I wouldn’t doubt that was a factor in the whole brp vs Arctic cat pyramidal design lawsuit settlement, Lynx is a brp European brand, and AC may have had trademark on that name inNorth America. We will likely never know, but happy it’s here
If you were looking for rough trails, you shouldnt have gone to a trail that is groomed by the Arthur Snowblazers. That trail is part of the FEB trail network.
Just some input for u guys, gotta speak louder or get a plug in mic if shooting with devices. Often can't make make out what's being said. Great content otherwise!
sorry about that... i had major technical difficulties this day... my action/helmet cam mic was unplugged so the audio was unusable and the other footage was from an iphone... not the best audio source at all. Thank you for the comment and tip tho- happy u reached out to me!
I have a xterrain 146x2” which is not as great of a trail sled but everyone says it is fun to drive and corners like it’s on rails but every video ever made of these sleds shows it turning in a corner with a ski in the air. They are 1000% worse on a trail then a renegade of your talking about cornering fast. It isn’t even close. 99% of people can’t ride a sled to its limits though so most people don’t care as the Lynx is 10000% more fun to ride and still handles very good it just doesn’t handle like a renegade or a couples suspension .
I could see that. I bet you can get used to it or set it up to help cornering. The lynx Is a fun sled to ride. I think most people on TH-cam just like to show wheelies cause that makes ya cool right? Haha
@@mudbrats yeah I am sure lol. The biggest thing people need to understand is even when you think your riding fast, the snowmobile is capable of soo much more lol..
You sound gay saying it Raw 'Vay. Just say RAVE like everyone else.
I dont like that either but it is what it is.
I actually talked to a few guys online in sweeden and finland i belive it was? But anyway even they said they call it a Rave, which surprised me but it is what it is lol
The rule is once you actually ride a lynx you can say it however you want 😂 until then shut it
We had a demo and I ordered a 22 for this season so I'm good to say it's a Rave.
Hey! Your insulting the LGBTQ Snowmobile Clubs!!😂😂😂In Canada doesn't that jerkoff Trudeau throw you in jail for that kind of Talk 😂

you are gonna love it. I would love to spend a weekend on this beast!
That intro was electric!
its how i felt after 2 minutes behind the bars

its a gorgeous machine!

thanks! where was that you heard it?
@@mudbrats I may have used it in a video or two 😁
Cheers!
Awesome video Gary

its a fun sled - its its own niche tho - not the best trail sled imo but it could be
First commite yessss awsome video keep up the great work
thanks Josh!
There are 4 holes in the limiter strap to adjust. Comes on 1 which is Max ski lift. The 4th hole will help limit ski lift.
yes of course we seen that - he was referring to changing it on the fly like the summit
@@mudbrats That change is easy to make. You need two tools and three minutes to do it.
Did he stiffen preload or decrease preload on front shocks to fix body roll? Mine has a little body roll too
he stiffened preload on the front so it had less give in the turns
@@mudbrats awesome thanks bud!
We in the Jag behind you whats up bro
haha - love it! Sorry I just seen this today!
There are 4 bolt positions for the limit strap. Look at front arm. It’s in bottom position from factory.
we seen that.... he was referring to changing it on the fly like the summit with the lever
@@mudbrats just making sure everyone knows there is an adjustment option for the limit strap to tune out the wheelie for the guys not into that.
Great Video!!! 👍🏼
i respect that man- thankyou!!
Great job on the video Gary! An interesting addition to North American!
its such a great addition to the BRP arsenal!
Looking good
Thanks! That was a fun ride!
Its said that you cant adjust the limmiter strap. You can adjust it at the topp of it, just moove the bolt.
Yes we know that.... he was referring to the mountain adjustment lever on the fly like his summit has. Who wants to get out tools on the side of a trail? And then adjust it back when you want to Wheelie again in the same afternoon
Since we seem to be on a trend for retro sleds. I came up with some new helmet designs that have a wider field of vision. Should sell well. 👨🚒👩🚀🪖
Nice review.
thanks Rob!
So u never rode a Polaris ProX or ProS ? Now u know what its like, but Polaris front end is better for handling
yes i rode a pro-s.... not the pro-x although a buddy has one.... rode a matryx as well. i wouldnt agree its better than this - Lynx for the Win.... but ride one and let me know what you think
Ya there awsome, and now Polaris are morons and do not make them now, Pathetic!

@@fxnytroxtxFPP LOL, Aparently it wasn't set up then!
@@paulcapes8846 maybe u didn't set up skidoos front end properly?!
What adjustment did you make to the front end and why??
tightened the front spring - turned collar tighter about 1-2” to remove some of the roll in turns
@@mudbrats Should have rather dialed the slow compression couple of clicks in.
@@AnonymousPhucker we adjusted the clickers and compression as well. Adam knows what he’s doing. It was very much improved when he was done. I think if we spent a bit more time with it, we could have got it 👌
Is it loud when riding?
Not at all - I was surprised how quiet it is.
When you getting one Gary ??
after you go pay energy powersports for it and say “sign the card To Gary, Love More Toys More Noise”
@@mudbrats If I hit 1k subs then maybe 🤣🤣

the lynx boondocker would be better off trail. Yes this machine would work as good or better than your freeride because if the uncoupled skid
I have a lot of thoughts on this sled.. may make a video of what I rhink.
you think too much 😭
wierd seeing a ski doo name a sled that was a former Arctic Cat sled name

hard to shoot that. we tried

great video like doing wheelies
Me too!
Yes.
YES!
You are riding at ice and wheeling it. Lynx re is turning in the grave like that. Go forest and hit bumbs. Cmoon!

Ski doo finally has a fun sled!! Now you know what the polaris assault guys have been saying for years

theres a little more to it than that, but BRP should have changed a few more things to distance the look from a gen4, like the DASH!
