I know Triumph does a lot of special editions but I appreciate that for those riders who want something a little different and are willing to pay for it an opportunity to do so.
My girlfriend had the 1st generation with the 19" tire and I am glad they went back to it as it looks so much better ( subjective ) than those trendy gumball huge front tires that looked like a forced effort to be a cool "bobber ".
A couple of key things for me like the ability to fit a rack with a top box,a centre stand to fix punctures, adjust your chain . Also a small bikini fairing for some extra wind protection. . I’d probably be more likely to opt for the RS.
I paid $900 extra for the stealth purple-color paint on the 2024 Bobber. I added custom Triumph and Motone accessories with saddle bags for about USD 4000 more. The added GBP 4000 sounds reasonable.
Missed the aesthetic of the 19inch front. Upside down forks and M50 calipers are awesome but the clip ons killed it for me though! Also not keen on all the carbon too. Personally I'd love a RETRO MOD look
- significant suspension upgrade (albeit upside down forks don't necessarily suit the look of a bobber) - premium exhaust (that arguably looks out of place on a bobber) - visual makeover (mostly okay but some might think it looks a bit Essex with the gold and carbon) - reverting to using a larger front wheel with a skinnier tyre (easier handling but looks less imposing) - no Brembo Stylema calipers & no mention of heated grips despite having a £4000 price premium over the standard Bobber!
This could be such an exciting bike to ride if it was given the thruxton TFC motor and some tubeless rims. The design team must be so vanilla at Triumph.
Yeah I agree. What the hell were they thinking signing off the go ahead for the Bonneville T120 ELVIS edition. I mean I'm in my 60's and Elvis is utterly irrelevant to me musically and as some sort of motorcycle icon.
I think this bike looks cool. I love the looks of bobbers, but I wish there were an option to allow two-up riding. I know it's meant for si Glen. But sometimes you need to give a lift, it would be great to have an option or aftermarket part that allows them for it.
A bike that will potentially have the bling and adjustability to match the new Indian Scout 101 which in itself is a massive step up from the new scout bobber in ride ability.
Better suspension and lighter weight. Exactly what I wanted out of my Bobber Black. Now if they could only add about 23 more HP. Maybe slap a third cylinder on there and reduced the CC to 1000
@@midlife-crysis correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that would be more fuel efficient. And ideally the weight increase from adding another cylinder would be mitigated at least partially by the reduced CC capacity/size of each cylinder.
@@ravenbird111agreed but this bike won't exactly be cheap, the standard bike is 16-18000 euros for a start, they should've always built the bobbers with upside down forks anyway I think.
@@kevinhenault434 not like Thornton Hundred, I restored classics for decades and their level of workmanship is insane from a high end tradesman's perspective.

As an owner of 2020 Bonneville Bobber TFC #404, I don’t see what is being offered that’s an improvement or even different that’s worth it. It looks like a full and dull rehash of my bike, different tank scheme, the carbon is gloss this time instead of matte, but it’s down on power. If it’s the standard engine, it’s down on power to my 2020 by nearly 10 horsepower. Sub 100hp, a 10hp difference is massive. Still wearing heavy black steel wheels too. Improve or change. Build something new. I had to build mine to chrome from your parts catalog. Give us forged aluminum. And it is truly an insult that there is no increase in power. You already have the old Thruxton RS engine just laying around throw it in there and give me a real reason to want the new Bobber TFC. Give me something competitive with the Indian Scout. Save yourself money, acquire a second hand TFC as none of us ride them. I ride cafes, sports and superbikes, and hit the gym and my TFC is the only one that hurts my back. Think about that, a Panigale is more comfortable after an hour than a Bobber TFC. I know it's the clip-ons but the point is give me reasons to want to ride it like crazy good horsepower and raise the rear for some rake.
Very nice looking bike. Was very tempted to put my order down, but noticed they've gone back to the 9L fuel tank. And so, unfortunately, this will be a pass.
It's got the full ohlins and lower end torque. I already got a hyperpro rear, COC spring, and bobber the rear end. New forks are gonna run me $1200. Now, I remember I need to buy forks.... The bobbers should have better suspension and breaks from the factory.
Looks pretty good, but not terribly practical. Would love to see the Speedmaster get that wheel though. I hate the look of that fat balloon tire on it currently.
Someone needs to tell Triumph they need to seriously up the power on their 1200 engines. R9T has had around 110hp and 116nm of tq for years now. One of the reasons I got one in 2017 over a Thruxton or Bobber.
They tune their engines differently and have different top ends. Sure, you can take the bobber top end to 9000rpm and have a 110hp bike. You can also push the torque much later in the revs, so you have far less power at the bottom. Imo, the higher torque at lower revs and a lower top end rides better.
Shame about the useless, so called front mudguard !!. Only £17,195. I think I'll get two. Can't think why bike sales are down, I wonder why 🤔. Oh well off to Royal Enfield.
The weight savings of 14 kgs from standard bobber to the factory custom bobber makes classic goan 350 bobber by RE even more of a sloppy job as compared to the standard classic. The bobber being 2 kgs heavier than the standard is unacceptable.

The new one has torque lower in the revs. The old one had the high power engine. They are very different. 77HP doesn't mean anything when none of these twins make it past 5k rpm
