Any idea if changing either sets of springs would change clutch engagement rpm? It should right? If so outside set of springs or the ones in the basket?
@bottomupbuilds thanks for the quick reply. I'm thinking outside set maybe just stack a washer on each, should counter some of the force from the balls being slung out...ie higher engage rpm. Thanks again!
I have a problem with my JR50 when you kick it, sometimes the kicker just moves, without kicking over, like it is missing teeth or something? Do you have any advice. Who can rebuild the engine for me ? Thanks
Hey, I really like the video. I just had the clutch Cover off of my jr 50. But I can’t reassemble it, because the kickstart is always in a wrong position or something. So the kickstarter is very hard to push. Any Tips? Or can you show it to me in a video? Thank you very much
Yes, the kickstart return spring will not engage unless the shaft and the stopper are in the correct location in their cycle. Try loosening the big bolt that holds the stopper in place, but don't pull it out, you want it there to still catch the stopper as it comes around. Then use the kick start lever to rotate the shaft clockwise until it catches up in rotation with the stopper. You will have to rotate the shaft, then remove the kick start lever and raise it back up and rotate it more, until it goes around enough to catch. At that point your spring should be engaging and start to automatically return the lever upright after a kick. Once there, you can tighten that big bolt and it will hold it all in place. Hopefully that helps with your issue!
Just what I needed! Schweeeeet!! Thanks dude!
🙏🙏thank you for this

I think it should, but info on these motors is hard to come by, I don't know what springs you should change or even where you'd get some!

does it always kick right through without resistance, or only sometimes?
I have a 82 JR50 when you kick the bike sometimes it just slips, could the clutch be the problem ?
I wish I could just buy a fresh-end up engine.
