To be "fair" the sleeper hold system existed because they did it on live TV back in 03-07. WWE games usually removes things that wwe tv no longer due. That's why I agree with my theory that when PG took over, the videogames became PG and started to considerably lack once SVR09 came out.
Also breaking the announcement table without a finisher. Basic moves can destroy it, as you’ve shown before moves also making contact with weapons have the characters react, nowadays they just land like normal on Tables ladders, chairs, and other weapons
you used to be able to grab the legs of an opponent in the corner, from outside the ring and do the ring post low blow. Back as far as the PS2 games I think...
I never tried stacking tables in 2k but it would’ve been awesome if you could still stack tables in WWE2k23, too bad they removed it including the straps.

I fucking hate that they took out pulling straps down. They also don’t have interactable weapon attacks like hitting the opponent in the gut and doing a DDT.
As if by some divine intervention, I got notified of this video. I was missing the pre-match mini games so hard! I wish 2K adds this in a future game. The game can let the player choose which mini-game to play. 1. Stare Down Battle (Strike First) 2. Test of Strength (Best of 3) 3. Nothing (like a typical 2k match) As for Option 4, I would replace the Shoving mini-game to a Lock Up mini game (basically a chain wrestling minigame) Great upload as always, WizeBan!

Now that I don't own the PS2 with the game anymore I miss the features so much. The feature that was my favorite was from SDVR 2009 I think, were you could repeatadly slam someones head into something or move the joystick in special occasions for a spinning attack
Don't forget you can only do certain diving moves through a table. For example, if you're playing as a Sabu from community creations and you want to leg drop someone through a table, you'll do a splash instead.
Another realistic IMO: In wwe2k17 (since it was my 1st game), if a superstar got eliminated in the royal rumble, (when your spectating it think), there would be a cutscene of them complaining and getting up to their feet
I hate that WWE has tried to focus on making a "fighting game" rather than a simulator. It takes all the character away that makes us love professional wrestling. If they don't want certain things happening in competitive online matches, disable them for online. I really hope WWE 2k gets out of this "add a feature/remove 2" pattern they've fallen into. Maybe if Fight Forever keeps getting better it'll apply some pressure.
yeah thats what i am talking about,they took all of the fun stuff away after wwe2k15 and later games came out,lets all go back to playing ww2k14 on the xbox 360 because it has so much fun stuff to do,i will not play another wrestling game until we get another one like wwe2k14 for the xbox 360
WWE 2K19 will ALWAYS be better than the WWE 2K games that came out afterwards to date. in 2K22, 23 and 24, the opponents can get hit by a train and shot in the head 4 times and get up immediately like nothing happened. They almost never sell any attacks done to them.
I tried so hard to like 2k23 and gave it a very fair shot. The gameplay just isn’t for me and doesn’t resemble the mechanics and workings of a wrestling match. Every character just does moves. There’s no depth to it.
