We can paint without a primer if the wood surface is properly preped with proper smoothening , debt filling and making it as even as possible maybe with normal wall putty or polyester putty . But while considering the cost of the PU paints which is around 1k per litre it's better to pay 300-400 more and get it's primer. What's the point of using high cost paints if you're not doing the process properly? Paint will last much longer with primer.
@@singhlakhvir3148 But If you're really on a budget and you're painting a interior object then surely you can go ahead without applying the primer. But make sure the surface is super smooth without any wood grains, cover it up with a sealer or p.putty
