I watch lots of other channels featuring one, half to three-quarters million dollar machine doing exactly the same thing you are doing with less than that in the whole fleet, combines ,trucks, tractors ,augers probably bins too! I'm not being negative at all because you are me 35 years ago , burning desire to farm and willing to do it the hard way to make it happen ,good for you and good luck! Still going to watch the fantasy boys because it just so incredible what those machines can do but my heart will always be with the underdog , channels doing good ,thanks for the video!
Some folks drool over new, shiny, expensive stuff but to me there's nothing better than this line up. They might be slightly slower and needy (parts and stuff) but they get the same job done as the over priced trinkets :)
You should get some more footage of the massey. I remember back when I was younger sitting up behind the seat and just watching my father combine. Well we would combine for about a hour then have to stop because something broke. 😂
I’ve got mostly Chevy, but the one thing Ford did right (in my opinion) was their medium duty stuff. I’ve got a 64 Ford grain truck (and four Chevys) that is a dream. They did those really well. When I drove school bus I would only buy Ford chassis with 65 passenger Blue Bird bodies. I wore out several of those - that was back when you drove gas school buses. Good solid machines.
South Sask Farmer dad plans on giving it new injectors when we do the clutch which might be this winter but for now we’re gonna focus on my W6 cuz it needs some love
We had an old Ford truck with the same shifting pattern same sound and same steering. I believe it was an old milk truck in the late '50s early '60s and my uncle bought it and put a wooden grain box on it. Had a week right hand leaf spring and the hired man lifted the hoist to high and tipped it over. At least we got a nice steel Wesco box put on after that. I did like the throttle on the dash when I was 4 years old driving it from one end of the field to the other standing on the seat. Then just shut the key off when you got to the end. Then get down on the floor and push the collection and take it out of gear
We had the same heavy fog this morning. Love the 1682. It sure takes me back. Our neighbors had 3 of them & when they decided to hire their combining done they asked us if we wanted to buy one. We decided not to & I always regretted that decision so it's nice to see one in action again. Thanks for the video.
Your commentry on truck driving is the funniest Damm thing I've ever heard! Lmao!! Thank you for the good video keep up the good work men...and mom lol
Great video, Nick! I just love seeing all the old iron working! Another channel I watch always slugs the rotor & concave when he is cutting oats and gets into green stuff mixed in with the oats, but I never saw him slug the feeder house. Do you have problems slugging the concave & rotor too, or just the feeder house? It looks like a major pain to clean a slug out of the rotor & concave. Take care, Nick!
Thanks for a great video Nick and never a dull moment when the crops are ready. With all your funny comments makes for good entertainment LOL I remember the old gas trucks well drove many of them when working with cnr back in the mid 60's and 70's. peddle to the medal hope you make the next hill!!!
That's some great looking canola harvest there Nick. You had all the family and Rob helping out great to see. You can get a coodie shot for driving the old Ford. A doctor who drive's a Chevy can give you one lol just joking good to see the old Ford out there earning its keep still. Thanks for the video Nick.😀👍
Got the big fleet just a rolling along. Getting some acres ground off. That extra combine will make a big difference the way the fall is going. Hopefully you can get the man power you need to run all three.
Another great video that 1682 is a beast. Im sorry but I enjoy when you drive that ford (not a ford guy) but it relaxes me. Slow loud underpowered takes me back to a simpler time I guess Good luck on the rest of the harvest
Hey, the truck runs and drives and holds grain. Better than wearing tires off the tractor and wagons lol. How come you don't pull wagons behind the grain trucks for close hauls? Lot of the smaller guys do near here
You guys pick up canola and we sow it in Poland now :D . Here, agrotechnical jobs are earlier about 2 months than in Canada, but i think, we have very similar yielding.
Hi Nick the video of you with the 1462 is awesome. Ever since you got that machine I've been wanting one. I know you don't raise corn but does it have a cornhead? Are there many of those pull types around you? If so are there any for sale?
that was alot of crop resadue, I know canola is tough to harvest never seen it wrap right around the feeder house before and it sure is dusty out there I usually see more coming out the back than the front
If i had to choose a combine Id like a John Deere S680 of S690 since they can automatically adjust them selfs when theyre working on flat or hilly land but whatever you can afford some people just work harder than others and everyone has his brand of equipment they like

Holy shit I just started swathing canola a couple days ago lol! Barley is all swathed and combined up though already. Barley went 70 up here which I'm happy with. After the canola is swathed hopefully she will be time to swath wheat and oats. I'm sure flax will be an October project FML lol. Seems like we can only get a few decent days until it wants to fuck around and rain again. Hope it isn't another abortion fall up in the northwest like last year. If I get 40 in the canola I'll be surprised. 50 sounds like a wet dream involving Julia Stiles in a black leather thong. Can't believe how much further ahead things are in the southeast compared to us usually we are on par. 1682 seems to be running nice. Mine didn't give me a shred of grief in the barley. Peas do good too? Missed that video apparently.
Remember when we had some custom combiners up from the Minot area with their 8820 Titan 2. At that time they had never combined canola but swore that Deere would go circles around the 1482. First low spot with a little green in the swath and they womped her tight. After the header came off and 4 hours of pulling and swearing they were back in the game. Can't remember how many circles the 1482 made around the mighty Deere. Quite a few I believe.
TH-cam is slow again 😪 30 views before they let me know... But I'm here!!!! Dust wouldn't gum stuff up... LOL Get er done Nick! LMAO, those rotor gear boxes!!! "My that goes down slowly"... That's an understatement!!! I hate filling them! Little trick, stick a piece of wire in the tube, if you're lucky it will let it burp.... Makes it a little faster 😎
That actually looks like StrawKicker 9000EX model. They beefed up the 9000. It’s .125” and the Department of Transportation upgraded to the premium reflective sheeting.
Hit the thumbs up boiis and girls!
Most raw and profane farming channel on TH-cam. 10/10, wouldn’t want it any other way
Thanks!!

Sweet video once again... most underrated farming channels
Thanks! Hope she takes off one day haha!
Love how you keep the old stuff running, while i am only 21 years. wish i could drive over and help you out for a season or 2

You gobbled up a good few acres the day and with a good yields as well 👍👍
Yes we did!!
5020 fired right up! My 5020 starting to get to the point where it doesn’t wanna start in the fall.
New injectors!
South Sask Farmer are you Telling me to put injectors in my 5020 or are you saying your 5020 has new injectors? Lol sorry just not in it this morning

those ole ford trucks and 352 engines where indestructable and they had more horespower than 80 by the way
Hahahahahaha as if lol
Really enjoy your videos, that 1682 pull type is a neat combine. I like watching the old pull type combines in action. Good luck with harvest yields.

3 Machines running looking very impressive.
You driving your grandpa's old Ford, reminds me of learning to drive our 54 International. Things seemed simpler in those days.
Nice to see the the combines running I don't mis any of your videos and forward them too keep up the good work you have some good help too
Thanks!!

Hey, nice video Nick, God blessed your harvest!
I gained enough guardian Angel's the last 4 years I hope one of them is looking out for me!
I enjoy watching the 1682. I'd only seen one those before yours and it was at an auction. Great video.
Sure is nice running 3 at once. Good to have Rob as an able hand
Good to see some harvest success on the 2019 books Nick! Hope the weather works with you going forward. -Bob...
Hope so!
Great the crop is turning out better than expected.
Got the big fleet just a rolling along. Getting some acres ground off. That extra combine will make a big difference the way the fall is going. Hopefully you can get the man power you need to run all three.
Great video, quite the dance you have going on there! Almost makes ya dizzy watching. Hope the rest of the harvest goes well.
Cheers
That's how you find an 860 Massey in the field, follow the smoke signals. Great vid!
The old iron for the win!!
Very nice video TY for sharing

Nick, I liked that model 9000 straw diverter. One of a kind, I presume.

Action packed video, Loved it !!!!!

Yup, still amazed seeing the 1682 🍻
Lol
Getting close to 10k brother Nick! Congrats!!
Soon!!
@@SouthSaskFarmer1 .....just don't turn your channel into an infomercial like most of the big channels
Did the green oat field yield good??
People always said that pull type combines were the smootest running machines.
They are just perfect all around lol
saw a 1682 with a straight cut once that would be cool to see running
Nick, I should know this but what is the flextube going from the exhaust to the pre-filter on the Massey for?
Called an asperator! Lots of older units have. Makes a vacuum and blows 90% of the intake dust out the exhaust! It works really really well!
That 1682 runs like a dream ha
Great video I still laugh at your intro keep up the great videos
Does it all have to be swathed. Been up there a lot, always crossed at north portal, love the way you guys farm compared to us in Iowa.
Canola does yup lol!
pretty slick operation there guys! does it matter which way it was swathed when you pick it up or does it matter?
Not really some crops yea but canola no
Were 5 weeks out for combining canola here. Just started swathing
Here about 8 weeks away
Holy eh
Good seeing how the 1682 works. Don’t think any big pto’s came to Australia. Is Antwone going to follow Bob Welkers example and make his own vids?
Nope I've seen videos of lots of them over your way!!
Good old mf smoke. When I was headed back empty with the truck and could see the smoke 2 miles away I knew everything was all right

Hi Nick the video of you with the 1462 is awesome. Ever since you got that machine I've been wanting one. I know you don't raise corn but does it have a cornhead? Are there many of those pull types around you? If so are there any for sale?
Used to be alot of them ya they had a corn head and yes there are some lol it's a 1682 the older ones where a 1482!
Sure get good view of header on 1682, good vid
Canola already...damn...my old Ford never had any crazy shifting patterns..that a strange one..kinda wish I would have got the 13 instead of the 10
More gears is always a plus
@@SouthSaskFarmer1 inch auger haha
a good long day in the fields no major break downs no pesky flat tires. you drink mtn dew or coffee to stay awake?
Coke and ice tea lol

Open up the field with the sp,.
Get that lazy 4wd tractor doing something in the fall.

I dont think my 1682 has ever given me grief but once lol
Excuse a stupid question. Why is it good for a machine to smoke black exhaust?
Means it's running to it's full potential.
I like that you actually video in the dark it shows that fireman don't just stop when it gets a lot of people don't know that
If that's the only bad habit the old 860 has is smoking I wouldn't worry. How was the green count Nick?
0 haha
