I actually went on a trip to Costa Rica in high school as part of a language immersion experience. We grouped up with two or three other schools from across the US and took a tour across the country. We went on hikes, visited hot springs and the volcano, and went horseback riding. We also went ziplining, but I was feeling really sick and didn't go. It was only a year or two later that I discovered why I got so sick: Turns out I'm deathly allergic to horses. Near-death experience aside, it was a great trip to a beautiful country. Definitely recommend it to anyone thinking about traveling there.
That was "The Skye Boat Song" that was hummed, right? I haven't heard that for several years! I couldn't remember the song title without a search, but I recalled something about Culloden's field in it because the surname of my brother's choir conductor was "Culloton". Personally, it adds a bonus taste of nostalgia to make the audio even more enjoyable.
I actually try to go out of my way to not talk to people at school. I just can't handle how bad I am at conversation lol. All I do is work and study, so this audio made me feel pretty special for a little bit, even though I don't have anyone with me to comfort me like how an audio would. (yet) I really appreciated this.
*count dooku suddenly appears* "I've been looking forward to this!" Anyway, great job Ael! This was really awesome, and I've always loved videos like this!
me, single dad: work, kids, sleep, work, kids, sleep, work, kids, sleep, not setting any time aside for social life, much less dating. Aelswyth: hits me right in the feels with this, and kinda gives me a wakeup call :)
My daughters practically shoved me out the door last weekend to go have fun. Sherwood Forest Faire (medieval/fantasy faire) just started last weekend, so I'm taking some time through March and April to get a day or two of de-stressing here and there. Honestly, this audio really hammered home what I've been missing badly- romance, companionship, touch, etc.- and didn't even realize it. Dangit Ael, makin' me feel over here! :D
My first time listening to you and this is extremely well done. I was cracking up because when you started listing UK places I was like "I've been to half of these places and they are, indeed, great." Great job all in all.
And now you reminded me about 6 season of Outlander which I haven’t watched yet :,D Btw I need to say: I just listened few of your videos today and wow, your scripts are amazing! Your voice is just a *chef’s kiss*.
This semester has been brutal; I spent 12hrs today working on a coding project. This audio came in at the right time. Thanks for the reminder that I need a break on my work!
