This is great, this is the 2nd smart Nigerian guy with a sports car business vision that I’ve read about…. and again no mention of the government offering subsidy or business support! Cmon Nigeria Govt!!! Get behind this man, help him ffs, or all that he has may end up in the toilet. Help him fly the Nigerian flag in the automotive world, China is on the rise, European automotive is flattening out. The time is right for Africa, even China can help with their huge investments in general infrastructure across the continent in recent years. Let’s do it!
I wasn't impressed with the Bennie purrie and sternum but this one blew my mind. I am so impressed. I too want to start a car company when I grow up. I'm currently sixteen. This car is the most origiñal automotive output I've ever seen from Nigeria. You guys are doing so well. Even though I want to be into electric power train with my future sports cars but this car is awesome
Yeah that's a special kind of excitement watching Made in Nigeria vehicles 😁. The straight 6 M50 is 👍. minimal vibration, just like in the 2023 Toyota Supra with manual transmission
This is highly encouraging and kudos to OMC. I wish you the best for the mass rollout of the car next year. Your passion for your work, and vision for better modes of transport for your compatriots, shine through in every thing you've said. To the female presenter (apologies, i didn't catch your name), i'm really curious how on earth someone as young as you, has managed to acquire not just a vast knowledge, but also a clear enthusiasm for cars. It's clear from your speech, you definitely know what you are talking about. I'm guessing you must have been introduced to cars at a very young age by a close relative, and the love affair only grew from there. Or could i be wrong?
Hi there! Thank you so much for watching and for your comment. Yes please, you’re absolutely correct. I was introduced to cars at a super young and the love grew from there. Someday, I’ll tell the story. Thank you so much once again. Your compliments mean a lot to me❤️
design wise, I'm not a fan, but I definitely love the the fact that they've built this. the color ways are sleek, I love that they've made provisions for a lot of vents to take air in and out.
Mr Seun.. My uncle, my bro! I can testify to the lovely works he has done, down from Weighbridge to the island! Mummy just told me to watch this video 🥹
@@abiolashittu8301 hi there! Thank you for watching. The Sternum was Jerry’s second sports car build with his first being the Puriee. The Charlie 337 precedes the Sternum, and is the first to be owned and potentially used as a daily driver.
@@ridewithmiee Yes, but the purrie would probably precede the Sternum and the Charlie 337. As black people we need to uplift not hide our progress. The title would be wrong because it isn't Nigeria's "only" sports car. It spits in the face of others.
We love to see this! I hope someone with the money can invest in our brothers/sisters in Africa who have the talent and ambition to create a car company of their own and develop a super car(s) directly from Africa! 🙌🏾
@@ridewithmiee There's several examples of car companies in other countries, such as Hennessey in Texas (USA), Koenigsegg in Sweden and Pagani in Italy. Hennessey started out as a tuner shop and then started to create their own super car called the Hennessey Venom. Bisimoto in California (USA) is an example of a Nigerian who has his own tuner shop here in the US, but it would be nice if he started to develop his own cars, too. I would definitely buy a super car from an African company just to support and to be proud of our continent's ingenuity! 😁
Its impressive seeing him build it from the ground up, but from the cars design, the interior, the door handles, the tiny brakes i cant help but see it as a 80s toyota supra with a bodykit on it lol

@@ridewithmiee it's a great start, it shows that in Africa there are some among ourselves who don't want to be consumers only but manufacturers too & I believe that starting with hypercars, supercars and the like is going to galvanize public interest so that when you decide to build say an SUV to act as a daily driver it will be easy for people to buy because you've already made your presence known.... All in all the future is bright for Africa & I can guarantee you that in the shortest time possible you'll have to come to zambia to talk about the Zambian made supercar.
Here's my take on the car, I love it; despite the fact that the design is not that appealing to the eyes, the the body structure was built for practicality and it's purpose. Here's my advice, I honestly don't know where anyone could get an engine block in Nigeria, that would produce 800-1000 HP, that's alot, and I know people would recommend getting famous engines, like the 2jz Toyota Supra MK4 engine, that can take any forced induction abuse ( turbo's or Supercharger) , or The Dodge hemi's,. But I feel that would be cheating; although the Pagani uses a V12 Mercedes AMG engine. But my honest advice would be to create from scratch, probably krate engine blocks, custom Engine internal components ( Cams, Cranks, Pistons, conc.Rods, etc) OR just use Alcohol powered engines in monster trucks. Then for power distribution and Transmission; A 4- wheel drive would b better of, Dual clutch Automatic transmission Braking for a 800 BHP , is a serious deal , Carbon Ceramic Rotors or Copper Disc Rotors Infact there's a lot. Well all these I recommended are quite generic, but I still have more crazy Ideas, that I wouldn't want to share with the Public.... Thank you.. Nice job here Hope I'll drive that car one day..
not like i can do better but is it my eye or some parts are not level, like straight. at least its a prototype so it can change but if you're going to change everything just keep this one separate like that yellow one don't touch it again please 🥲 in the future you can put it in the company like in a little museum or something and please don't use this one for crash test abeg😂
@@ridewithmieeim not sure maybe it's my eye but put spirit level on the lines on the back to see if it's level, and i still think its okay like this and they shouldn't change the look
