    Thanks a lot. This helped me so much. I just started at Walmart Distribution and I'll start the actual stacking next week.

    what is the best way to stack square boxes ? if in columns, our warehouse always has boxes falling

      Hi Micheal,
      Like a lot of the guys in the comments have said slip sheets are your friend here. A lot of times I think they are overused, but slip sheets can be a life saver with square box as it kinda holds everything together. I also recommend using a tape line around the boxes to hold everything in place till you get over to a wrap machine. Generally though slip sheets every layer and a nice tight wrap job will hold tricky square boxes in place and keep the columns from leaning. If you are extra concerned or dealing with something super heavy do not forget about corner supports they can help your pallet keep its shape. Good luck and happy stacking!

    SOS!! My company is a wholesaler of honey and we have a customer who insists on their order of honey shipped in our retail jars. The challenge is that they have ordered 40MT worth of glass jarred honey. We have looked at the box-in-a-box solution using pallet boxes - however, can we stack pallet boxes???? What would be the best way to pack these jars of honey without the risk of them being crushed in transit?

    Any other reason of laying the cartons alternatively, other than balance?

    • @ShipmateFulfillment
      @ShipmateFulfillment  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Mohammad,
      Balance is the most important reason as it prevents the pallet from leaning, but similar to brick laying it helps lock everything together more tightly to prevent movement.
      Thank you for watching!

    Hi there, the stacking pattern demonstrated here are correct when stack products that are light in weight. This method will unfortunately cause damage if the products are heavier. Brick stacking the bottom two layers will force the "pillars" of the second layer into the bottom layer's "stomac", causing damage. Pillar stack the bottom two layers and brick stack the top two layers. This will increase the bottom layer's ability to carry the weight from above by +/- 30 %.

      Really? I’ve always brick layered all the way if I could

      Is Pillar the same as column stacking?

    I get how to stack but when it’s really small boxes it’s hard as shit to see the pattern

      Hi Russrt,
      We have another video on mixed pallets, but I agree sometimes it feels like a bad game of Tetris. I will say however the principles do stay roughly the same. Build a strong base, try to use similar sized cases in a layer when possible, and try to keep heavier boxes lower on the pallet to prevent crushing. Its something that is about 50% art and 50% science, but after a while you get the hang of it! Good luck!

    My word, i cant believe how utterly ridiculous this was. You want to first and foremost build your load back to front. You dont have to do one layer at a time rither, in fact, you shouldnt but whatever.. .. you seem to think you know best
