Cellulose Nano Crystals

From any kind of tree and any kind of waste wood, nano crystals can be produced that will have the strength of steel, be transparent, and can be very light in weight. This is a discovery by the Forest Products Lab operated by the U.S. Forest Service.

Evaporation of the solvent. If you swap the solvent, you can achieve chemistry modifications like porosity and netting, like a sponge.
