Sorry Bri you have to go through this. This is what happens when you don't take care of things right away. It will bite you later. You don't mess about legal stuff. It would have probably easier to take care of it while you were in Florida much closer. DUI can affect records car your car insurance will be much higher premium. Some insurance company will not take you if they see you have bad driving history. On the bright side, these bad news have solutions and it can be fixed. You just have to be patient and we can all learned from our mistakes. Coming back to this country with two youngsters is not easy. You are starting to establish your life again and now you have little souls to provide and protect them. Need to make the kids understand that you guys are working as a team. Be self sufficient, when they wake up brush teeth, dress up and have fixed thier own breakfast and make their own bed without being told. After all, you were in the military. Brian, you are doing a wonderful job taking care of kids by yourself and at the end things will work out. Sorry for my unsolicited advice. May God continue to bless and guide you and your family in every step you make.

It was not a good decision to buy a BMW nearly 12 years old ! Such cars will have lots of mechanical problems, spare parts and maintenance are expensive. I did this mistake before and learned from my pocket.

Maybe Brady should pay at least half the towing cost since it’s a consequence of him forgetting to take it to the Washington DMV (or whatever it’s called). Might not be a bad idea to apply for a AAA Card. You’re allowed 3 or 4 tows a year along with other amenities. It’s saved my a few times.

Hello, Brian! I have been watching your adventures with Kathleen and Mike since December, which ultimately led me to your videos in the Philippines.
I was a single mom (married again now for 22 years) in the US Navy and so I am very aware of the difficulties involved in moving with a young child, in your case two, and face a new culture and meet a slew of new people.
Kudos to you for your determination to be a good, hands-on father and to start a life with the support of your wife from afar. It can't be easy, so thank goodness for all the available technology that keep you connected.
Stay hopeful, patient, and focused ... and a little prayer everyday goes a long way.

It is unfortunate you have to deal with the issues you left behind and now resurrected itself upon your return. One DUI will not get you a mandatory IID...there's more to it that you are letting on. Why did you purchase the BMW (barely moving wreck) without ensuring your license is good to go? Why is NC working on your record, if you had a WA license? There is no round about way to rid of the IID or your record if you did not fulfill the requirements in the first place.

    • @normalperson9646
      @normalperson9646 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Per WA DOL: An IID is an instrument you blow into before you can start your vehicle. This measures your breath alcohol content (BAC) level. You'll only be able to start your vehicle if your BAC level is under .025.
You'll be required to install an IID if you've had:
A conviction for an alcohol or drug related DUI or Physical Control of a motor vehicle
      Some convictions of reckless driving
      Some convictions of negligent driving
      Any court ordered IID requirement
This stuff just doesn't happen with ONE DUI.

The timeline may become a problem down the road like next enrolment year. The kids may need to take a placement test, may be eligible for ESL programs as well.

Dont enroll your kids to esl program. They cant learn anything there. Its for kids who cant read, write & understand english. All they teach is teach how to spell d o g for dog & c a t for cat. My daughter already learned that in in philippines kindergarten and knows more thsn what esl is teaching so we pulled her out of esl. It is just a waste of time. Even her teacher was wondering why we enrolled her when she knows more than what esl teach. We have english subject in the philippines. I thought that when we enrolled her it will enhance her knowledge of english and help her be fluent in english. Its not, so i advice you not to enroll them in esl. Waste of time and wont help them. Its only for no habla english kids.

I wasn't "sloshed" out of my mind either.. just had a few beers over and they gave me the good ol "You didn't have your turning signal on". and I blew a little over the limit and they screwed me over lol.. Oh well it's not the Philippines haha..
Yes Washington state is so strict compared to Florida Pamela! grabeee 1st offence compared to 3rd
Hi Mary Watts yes you have to pay for this thing called SR22 on your insurance and monthly for the stupid thing inside your car hahah... It's just a small hassle though really.. at least we can get to where we need to go. Just a tad bit more embarrassing lol

Hopefully you can get your license cleared soon and you can drive the kids in a car instead of spending tons of money on Ubers. Do you have parking for your car since it looks like you guys live in an apartment building? We don't want you to get parking tickets in the future. BTW great job with the kids and making sure they eat their vegetables. Hope the house is legit this time and what are your plans for the kids and school? Trying to enroll them or its a bit late for the school semester. Maybe not having a permanent house and consistent internet access maybe an issue besides taking certain tests to see what grades they will end up in. Also one more question, when you go out to get food or run errands without the kids, who is watching them? Just be careful since we can't trust people even if they seem nice. Just looking out for you all. God bless from NY. If you lived in NY, I would have been doing the same thing with the lady in Target lol.
