I am a Yankees fan and I am pretty sure I would get smacked down if I used their logo on merchandise. Just curious if you modified it in some way.

I think they get nervous and feel awkward giving a price if the person will say no or yes right away. They might feel it was either too high or Way too low and miss out on some money.
And I think it is hilarious (though in a real cringe worthy kind of way) when someone has the cojones to offer 50 measly dollars for a Wii, with a boatload of accessories & what looked to be like about 10 to 15 really great game titles, as well.
