- I've reviewed the Kaga several times 2-3 years ago and it was a broken damage machine. How does it perform in 2024?

Fabulous for the current event with the requirement to get a 100 torpedo hits for the ultimate event key. In shock at the moment, never happens to me, got the 100hits with Kaga which gave me the ultimate key which gave me the Blitz key which gave me TierX Gdansk.
It’s definitely more fun than being on the receiving end 😉 congrats for the TX!

I'm not a CV guy. Kaga does interest me. My first IJN CV model was Kaga about 45 years ago.
Luckily this one is often sold for a very reasonable amount.
I just unlocked the hiryu, my first tier 7 and my first game was against a kaga. It REALLY did not went well after as I was locked on by this CV.
It's ok, Hiryu is notoriously fragile. After that all japanese cvs are amazing so stick around!

I really hate playing against kaga as uss ranger. Even if kaga don't have any fighters, it's still op. My fighters are usually useless against those 5 squadrons.
Harakury is broken too,or i have a long time not playing that cv,shoot everything and only got 79.000 damage
It's certainly strong but skilled and not as dangerous as this thing

Luckily it's not as ubiquitous as stuff like the Malta at T10. You don't see too many of them. But when there's one and your CV sucks, it's over.

I have trouble managing five squadrons at the same time,in particular the three torpedo bombers squadrons.
Go for the big slow boats, it’s easier… you’ll almost never run out of planes

23 torps and I get 1 flooding. Wargaming is all rng and if wg dont like you they piss on you with rng. It's a joke anymore. Take your own conclusion.
