This is so insightful! Besides the game mechanics, the art is what pulled me into MTG and even makes me want to draw and paint again. You made a fantastic point about the scale. There are some amazing arts that I'd hang onto my walls but they look too tiny on the card. Also, thanks for sharing this amazing content!
Hard to name my favourite art but some that come to the top of my mind: Curse of Hospitality; Lolth, Spider Queen (Borderless); Dragonskin Beserker, Easy Prey and Soulherder.

That's a fantastic line-up of cards, dannnnggg! Yeah, I'm always looking at the spoilers for the newer sets nowadays less because of the mechanics, but entirely based on the art! It's *the* standard in the industry, and a bucket-list goal for sure!

This was so educational on how to learn from other artist’s. I have the same inspiration from Dave McKean’s work. Do you have any Krita tutorials?

Hey Shiloh, thanks so much! Dave McKean is amazing, his creativity is truly next-level! I think I have a few videos on Krita on the channel, but I definitely plan to do some more in 2022!

Hey dude! How did you get a special version of Duskborne Skymarcher? I went to Google to study it for myself, but they were all blurry in the detail, which is my favorite part 😂

Yo! So I actually think the version I have is lower-resolution as well! I think I found it via a Pinterest posting of it (i.pinimg.com/originals/02/6d/cd/026dcdc77e87e7faf4732458e8036b10.jpg)

@@ArtOfWesGardner It's interesting. The link doesn't work, but I looked back at the versions of artwork I found, and noticed that I could never see pixels.
I guess the illusion of more detail in your video is because image editors show pictures for what they are, and Google, and image galleries (I guess) automatically smooth them out so it's less sharp when zoomed in.
Thought I'd share what I found with you.
