Nice job George, I need to replace my belt before to long. I haven't looked at it yet how its made. But I'm going to check if I can get to it from the top too. Take care

Rusty Glovebox It is much easier from the top, though I suspect if I could hang the mowers up it wouldn't be too bad from the bottom on the other kind of setup.

Although it has been disputed by some, the last words spoken by the great German poet, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe were reported to be "Light! More light!" Whether he repaired lawn tractors is not recorded, but his advice is top notch. Thanks for showing us how to replace this belt.

Thank you so much for this! I am not handy, but i have the same model Huskee and needed to replace the rear belt. Your video made it pretty easy! I had to use a propane torch on one screw for 5 minutes to get it loose, but other than that it went fine. Only thing - I was not paying attention to the seat attachment screw that holds the spring that kills the ignition if you get off the machine without taking it out of gear and turning off the blades. So I don't have that feature anymore. But hey, for a $16 dollar belt and an hour of work, I couldn't be happier. Thanks again!

George, good video - as you say these normally have to be put on from the bottom and they can be a real pain to do so especially if everything is covered in dirt and corroded!
Small tip that can be useful for removing those R clips - thread a long doubled piece of strong twine through the loop and thread it through itself so the the clip is attached to the twine. Tie a knot in the long end and attach it to a hammer shaft or something similar and apply steady pressure, it should come out OK and not get lost somewhere in the process. Polish it a bit before reinserting it and it will go back in much easier.
