Lovely layouts. I'm amazed that just four locos could haul that massive N&W coal drag - especially up a grade! I kept expecting to see helpers somewhere! Thanks to all the modellers and to you, Jason, for sharing your super video.
Magnificent layouts, awesome scenery very authentic represents so much time and effort by many to recreate these masterpieces. Adds motivation to continue our work at our club set in an old railway station building in South Australia. Thank you for posting.
2:41 The start of a nightmare when you arrive at the crossing gate that's closed and you were about to be just on time for your appointment. Excellent filming of this video
Jason, great job cathing all this action on video and sharring with everyone. So many trains and otheer fine models on thesee layouts, really cool stuff. Thanks so much for sharing. D. Muse
Oct. 3, 2018---Now I'm not into trains any way, shape or form, but a bud of mine in England has gotten back into it, this time building a shunt, a word I had to look up. He's also building a small round track for his granddaughter. What does interest is me is how everyone does things when it comes to scenery whether it's trees, buildings, lighting, etc. Learned and still learning how people do these things. The same way with those into doll houses and miniature furniture. Just got back into plastic modeling about a year ago, but instead of planes/tanks, going for 1/35th scale zombie/apocalypse dioramas. So what I learn from the train/doll house people, I can apply it to my models. Thanks for the video.
I am into live steam , but as part of complete plants and industrial units that I sometimes show at dolls house exhibitions as I use the same scale of 1:12. A few videos of my models on my channel if you care to look
10:30 Even our Canadian stock! I think I've got to give whoever owns those a tip: CP does NOT let its engines get dirty. Well, maybe it's because I'm in southern Alberta, and the CP's biggest yards are in Calgary, so they get washed there. But yeah, CP likes to keep its engines spotless.
I filmed a train on the UP Sunday with a CP unit in consist, it was not the cleanest one I've seen. See them on the KCS also, rarely have I seen a really clean one.
Again, maybe it's because I'm in southern Alberta and Calgary is where many of them get washed. Honestly, I've almost never seen a CP engine that was not sparkling clean.
That's good keep the engines spotless dirty filthy railroad equipment especially at night makes the area around it look depressing and unsafe as in bad neighborhoods
I would assume all the units on that coal train were powered, its not mine so I can't be sure. However, I have a 110 car coal train of my own and it requires 3 to 4 powered units to move it.
The N&W coal train layout is from my area between Dayton and Springfield Ohio. They set up their layout twice a year at our local train show. Great guys and a great layout!
First, thanks for posting. Black curtains and a black fascia? Great choice. I am wondering what the advantages might be by using Procab over a smaller controller.
Bitchin'!! LOVE the Smokey & The Bandit scene! Also love the Espee light packages and Alcos used on the Thunder Lake units. 'MIAMI VALLEY??' Isn't almost ALL of Florida topographically flat??
My favorite movie Smoky and the bandit 1977) I was 15 yrs old I first saw the movie. N Convoy when you make another video Kansas City train show 2018) lots of long 🚆 train's and Clubs did a good job 👍
That looks like a great show! I went to Washington,IA for the 35th Annual Washington Iowa Train show and Swap Meet in Washington,IA. I took a video of a Train set when I got in the building where it was at. You can check that out now if you like.
This has got to be one of your greatest videos! That N&W coal train, the lead engine, shouldn't that have been running long hood forward for that authentic N&W feel? Did you manage to count the number of coal cars on it? Please keep up this good work. Many thanks.
If you're trying to represent what a real one looks like, yes. They are commonly 100 or more cars long. I have a 110 car coal train of my own. As long as it runs right, doesn't mess with anyone else running, and if you have the space for it, why not?
Guess you've not seen any of my other model RR vids. I do those. For this video however, there is no story. It's simply showing off the various club layouts at the show. My time there was limited, so planning out a video wasn't possible. Also, there were no stories to tell as all trains were just running in circles around the layouts. It's too hectic for any club to do any sort of ops at a big train show.
Love to see and hear the reactions from kids of all ages. Great trains equal great joy. Thank you kindly
Grande plastico, complimenti a chi ha realizzato il traggiato e la paesaggistica. Ottimi professionisti del modellismo

Glad you're enjoying it, and like I said, I have a couple more vids on the way from the show.
I was at the show and really enjoyed it. Didn’t get much video, so this is great to see...Anthony
Was a good show. Maybe this vid and the other two I have coming from the show will make up for what you didn't get to do.
It was a great show. Thanks for sharing a bit of it.
Glad you enjoyed it. Got a couple more from there on the way.
AWESOME!!!!! Thank you for sharing and keep up the good work.
Super rail movie! Awesome images !

Scenery techniques are almost infinite.
Amazing! !!!!!
Gob smacked, keep up the good work. 😃
amazing work there
Smokey and the Bandit tribute was a nice surprise.
Yes it was. Too bad they didn't have the correct Kenworth for the scene. Pretty good otherwise.
Ya

I like the end of line junk yard graffiti in the right spots and fantastic detail just plain awesome
WOW...all the layouts looked great. That one from Ocala (FL??) was especially well-detailed. Awesome video, Jason
They did and yes, I believe it was Florida. The camera doesn't do the layout justice. It was amazing. Glad you enjoyed it Cam.
I like the CP coal train and the Smokey and the Bandit entourage.
Wow that's awesome!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
That train is still on that curve!
6:10 Right down to the bridge tagging, eh?
Yep. Cool stuff.
wow, that's a long coal train..are all four lead units powered?.."end of the line salvage co"....haha nice touch..great layout
I would assume all the units on that coal train were powered, its not mine so I can't be sure. However, I have a 110 car coal train of my own and it requires 3 to 4 powered units to move it.
great video bro
Thanks!
This is cool
I love those for Norfolk and Western engines and especially love that it's Norfolk and Western coal train
Yeah, it was an impressive train.
THAT N&W COAL TRAIN WAS MY FAVORITE.
The N&W coal train layout is from my area between Dayton and Springfield Ohio. They set up their layout twice a year at our local train show. Great guys and a great layout!
Yes, very impressive layout. Impressive coal train too.
Were the engines sd40s?

Nice module s
How many, I couldn’t count how many wagons the first locomotive was pulling

I hope one day to attend my first Model Railroad Show #ILoveTrains
All in good time...
Yes, RIP Burt Reynolds, Jerry Reed, and Jackie Gleeson. Still got “frog!” (Sally field)
@11:31
How long does it take to move all that?
I want to install a working model from where i get materials and how much expense will need?
Loooooooove the video.
MICHAEL GLASS b
Did you get a count of the cars on the coal train?
No I didn't. However, I have a 110 car coal train of my own and the coal train here was comparable in length.
Are any rail model in 1/64 scale ?
That looks like a great show! I went to Washington,IA for the 35th Annual Washington Iowa Train show and Swap Meet in Washington,IA. I took a video of a Train set when I got in the building where it was at. You can check that out now if you like.
It was a great show. I'd say if you ever get the chance to go to one of these big NMRA shows, do it, you won't be disappointed.
Very nice!. Congratulation... Regards
Thanks!

Thanks! Nah, I didn't count the cars. There's a lot there though. I have a 110 car coal train of my own, and this N&W one was around that size.
@@RailfanJason Thank you for your reply.
Fantástico 👏👏👏👏👏
myself I prefer live steam , but this was worth watching
Is the first layout yours
Wait is this in miami or Kansas City?
is it really necessary to have the coal train that long?
If you're trying to represent what a real one looks like, yes. They are commonly 100 or more cars long. I have a 110 car coal train of my own. As long as it runs right, doesn't mess with anyone else running, and if you have the space for it, why not?
You forgot Fred the dog on the RIP
Nice!
Thanks!
Nice
NO headlight on the NW coal train
That salvage yard is gloomy but neat.
yes....amazing look it has, im all about scrap yards on HO displays
I love ho scale model trains
Same!
Spring for a tripod, plan your story, get much much much lower, and cut out backs of people...
