Sup Ryan 🔥 video , I have a question how do you manage to stay in focus all the time?

Thank you so much, I really appreciate that! Great question! The camera I use to film my videos has really great auto focus. However, it’s not 100% accurate all the time, especially when I’m really close to the camera. For those shots I’ll usually go into manual focus and have a placeholder, like a light stand or something like that, on my mark where I will be standing or sitting, then I’ll make sure that it’s in focus, and then I’ll remove the light stand and film the scene. I might also go a little wider with my aperture as well, just to make sure that I’ll stay in focus if I were to move around a bit.
But again, I don’t usually go into manual focus too often. I would say that 90% of the time I’m just utilizing the autofocus on my camera whenever filming a TH-cam video.
I hope this helps! Thank you so much watching the video and for reaching out my friend, cheers!

Hey Alessandro! Thank you so much for reaching out. Absolutely this is a great question! Here are my settings below...
      - I'm using the Sony FX3
      - File Format: XAVC S 4K
      - Frame Rate: 23.98
      - Record Setting: 4:2:2/10bit
      - Gamma: S-Log3
      - Black Gamma: Range-Wide/Level-+4
      - Knee: Auto
      - Color Mode: S-Gamut3.Cine
      - Shutter 1/50
      - f2.8
      - ISO 12,800
      - I also used a variable ND filter by K&F to control the shot a little more.
I hope this helps! Thanks again for reaching out, it truly means a lot. Cheers!

"Amaran 200D" really rolls nicely off the tongue. That might just be good enough for us to pick one up someday.
That shotgun mic sounds amazing btw. Really nice tone.

Great video man! Thanks for the false color. I noticed you have your iso set to 12800, is there a specific reason for it being that high? I've been aiming for my native ISO of 400, I now believe tha'ts my issue.

Absolutely, I'm happy I could help! That's a great question! It might be a little weird, and there are a few different decisions that I made over time that led me to that high number. But essentially, I found for me personally that I had full control over the image when I cranked the ISO to 12,800 and then through a variable ND on to bring the image down to what I felt looked the best. Also, for me, I like to film in the camera's native ISO because this is the ISO setting where the image will look its best, especially in low light. For my Sony FX3 it has dual native ISO at 800 and 12,800.
I tried setting the ISO at 800 but it looked a little too dark and, for the FX3 specifically, I know that when the image is too dark, or even perfectly exposed in some cases, it's usually going to be difficult for me to pull up the shadows where I like them without gaining a lot of noise in the image. So I ultimately decided to crank it to 12,800, and then sort of work backwards from there.
I hope this helps! Please feel free to let me know if you have any other questions, I'm happy to help. Thank you so much for watch the video my friend! Cheers!
