Parc et Château des Ravalet

Das Schloss aus blauem Schiefer, ist ein ab 1562 entstandenes Renaissance-Schloss. Es wurde ab 1872 von René de Tocqueville renoviert, der auch den Park und das Gewächshaus gebaut hat. Seit 1935 ist es im Besitz von der Stadt Cherbourg. Seit 1996 ist es als historisches Denkmal registriert, der Park hat die Gütesiegel „Jardin Remarquable“ (2004), „Quatre Fleurs“ (2007) und „EcoJardin“ (2012).

especially the fact that the entrance is free makes it worth a visit. I did not show the parc area with itss long walks.
