Rode a Cheyne Horan for a while in about 82 - loved going vertical up the face, quick down the line...but then thrusters dominated so I sold it. Dumb move. Also had a Mitch Thorsen, 5'10" when I lived in WA in 85, with what we called the "winged keel" fin - copied Bertram's America's Cup keel if I'm right. Gave it to a guy from church when I went as missionary to Thailand. Good move.
You have put the Starfin in the wrong way !!! The screw must be towards the rear. It is obvious at 0:25 where you can see the foil of the fin ... I cannot believe anybody who has ever seen a surfboard fin can make this mistake. Or see www.swellnet.com/sites/default/files/inline-images/11_11.jpg you can see that the curved outline is to the rear.
