Who is there to throw to, anyway? This team has no legit WR1 who excels close to the goal line. In other words, this is a dysfunctional offense whose statistics suck pretty much across the board. #8-8-1
As a Steeler fan. Kenny wil be a very good back up. Say what you want about Kenny’s stats, but he can win you games, he has like 8 4th quarter comebacks in his short career.

Well thats the thing we dont blame it all on Canada. Even with a bad cord. you should see flashes of QB1 material. You just didnt get that from Pickett. Couple of 4th qtr wins but that was pretty much it. Doesnt process the defense to quickly. Pocket awareness neds work. And he doesnt have the confidence to throw it down field. Good dude just wasnt the right fit for Pittsburgh. Nothing but the best to him tho in Philly

Lots of lazy playing , and routes by receivers that didn't make sense. People don't realize Frisman Jackson their WRs coach got fired as well, and for good reason.

Its a collective effort...team sport. But if the WRs Line and others dont feel confident about who is executing said offense its gonna cause these failures to perform. Just as much as them losing faith in Canada. Weeks and Weeks of low scoring is gonna tear them down. Lack of authentic leadership at the QB position is what we are missing. Ben brought the leadership. We need that back. A QB thats gonna hold his offense accountable for points and execution. Russ i believe has that. And i feel he can Give those traits to Fields. Kenny in my eyes wasnt a 1st round QB. maybe 2nd 3rd rd. He has alot of glaring holes. Now asking for a trade just screams character flaw to me. is that Pickett got shafted by the Steelers when he opted for tight-rope surgery to his ankle. He was probably given assurances that he would resume his duties but that didn't happen. In retrospect, he probably felt connived by them. Who wouldn't, the risk of surgery versus rest and rehabilitation? He's better off in Philadelphia. The Steelers have become a kooky organization.

Pickett was average. Steelers not stupid video don't show u how bad he was. He injury prone. Small hands and not moblie. He a good back up tho.. good luck to him..
Almost every highlight was a L and he probably finished each game with 150 yards 1 pick no touchdowns
His win-loss record over 2 partial seasons was quite favorable.....and that was playing under THE WORST OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR IN THE HISTORY OF THE NFL. The Steelers under Canada were the only team without a 400-yard game in the 3 years he was OC. They FINALLY fire Canada and with just a couple days to prepare under makeshift OCs, Pickett and the rest of the offense looked fine and had their first 400 yard game.
And many of the games he played in...he played hurt because the o-line was in shambles.
I don't know if Pickett will ever be great, but it would nice to see Pickett get a chance with a real coaching staff. But I do know that it gets real old seeing comments that twist the facts.
I'm glad Pickett and Rudolph got out of Pittsburgh. They both deserved better.
Well he's actually throwing the ball before receivers are out of their breaks. I literally can't find that in any hurts highlights.
He has some mobility and can roll out and he does have a decent arm. For those that were looking but he threw quite a bunch of picks in his two seasons; so this makes him a decent back-up if hes receptive to Kellen Moor's coaching.
I think almost half of the picks he threw was before the bye week in his rookie season. He's better than numbers show for sure. He just played in the worst offensive system that I can remember as a Steelers fan

He actually doesn't throw a lot of picks. His biggest issue was consistency on easy plays and pocket presence/awareness. His strengths are that he takes care of the ball and can make some really nice throws and he is more athletic then what people think. He can spin it though.

What quality is there in Pickett? He was an unmitigated disaster in Pittsburgh. He threw 13 touchdowns and 13 interceptions. He was on the way to giving us our first losing season in almost 20 years, when Mason Rudolph saved the season.

Most of his picks came in his first few games coming in cold off the bench as a rookie QB3.
Also, quite a few of those early picks hit the receivers right in their hands and they couldn't hold on. And if I'm not mistaken, Pickett holds the Steelers record for consecutive passes without a pick. And Bradshaw had 3 times as many picks as he had TDs his first year.
I don't know (and I don't really care) if Pickett will ever get anywhere, but it just gets soooooooooo f***ing tiring reading the same comments from people twisting the facts. Lots of people just like you were screaming to get rid of Bradshaw the first few years, too.

Mason a career true backup came in and was the highest rated QB for four weeks in the exact same offense. I mean the TE and all the wr’s were publicly voicing they wanted the third string backup over Kenny! At least you only gave up two 7’s and slid some in the 3rd so it’s not gonna kill you it’s just a total waste. Kenny does Pre-season magic, then he crumps regular season. Comeback Kenny? only because he put the team in such a hole he had to do something by the 4th quarter. Our defense won his games, not him. He is also arrogant but I blame that on the Steelers and Pittsburgh fans blowing up his ego initially. I wish him the best in Philly but this dude sucks from everything I have watched week in and out. But hey, maybe they'll be better coaching him than our trainwreck of an organization called the Steelers.
