You should white wash the fruit trees with IV organics or something similar to stop the sunburn on it and get a deep mulch layer to hold what little moisture that soil has. Just a suggestion
You're a cool dude I live in Tempe for last 40 years and looking to leave cleaning/home improvement business and retire...at least part time...64 years young...and move up around Williams on about 10 acres...maybe Ash Fork or maybe all the way over toward Heber or Snowflake...etc. I want to be off grid and I have the skills to make it happen. Thanks for your "take" on things off grid in Northern Arizona. I really appreciate it.
You got alot of projects.. What area is that..? I've been looking for land in Kingman and there are no or very few trees like that there. I used to have a Branson 3510. Was a pretty good little tractor.. and was just a bit bigger than yours. I had most of the implements and the backhoe.
I also have an off grid property in Northern Arizona (Seligman). It looks like I'm a little further along on my property in some ways. You are definitely further along on others. I hope to live there full time, starting next month. I look forward to watching your development, and steal all your good ideas. I am curious what region of N. AZ you are in.
@jamestauber5819 it's going to be around 7 years before I'm a full-timer, but I suppose it's possible. The pot of career gold at the end of the rainbow will not appear until I turn 50.
We have 48 acres. There is always a possibility that she could be bit by a snake. Oddly enough, I still haven't seen one on my land yet, but I know they are there.
@@AZOFFGRID I just remembered that two years ago this past April I had a close contact with a rattlesnake in Yuma. I had a portable solar panel outside and I was disconnecting and packing it up and as I tilted it I saw a snake a foot from my leg. He could have easily bitten my hands or leg but thank god he didn’t, I saw his tail shaking but couldn’t hear anything, scared the hell out of me.
@@timthompson8297 that is way too close for comfort. I have encountered several rattle snakes near Yuma, but none at my property yet. Other property owners have dealt with them, but I have been lucky.

I have about 3 to 4 inches of wood chips surrounding the trees. I don't know anything about white washing the trees. I'll have to look into that.

No. I don't know them.

@@AZOFFGRID thanks
@@paulrock36 No problem. Thanks for the advice on the "Featured Channel" option. I had no idea. Not very tech savvy.
How many acres? I’d be worried about the dog getting bit by a snake.

@@AZOFFGRID Wow, that’s a big piece of land. Cool.

How far north in Arizona are you?
In the area of Ashfork and Seligman.
90? Big deal. Hard to do much better than that in Arizona in July.
