多謝你,唱得好。 This song makes me reminisce my childhood when my parents would place a CD full of Cantonese love songs in the car while traveling around Sydney and the Australian countryside. That's a great memory. Thanks for the share.
Love this, thank you! I am an English/French speaker but my wife’s family is from HK & I sang this song for her at our wedding banquet 14 years ago (my brother-in-law wrote it out phonetically for me!). I can use this video to re-learn the song in time for our 15th anniversary :-)
I lived in HK when I was a kid in the early 90s and this song was played EVERYWHERE and is so nostalgic it's unreal. Fab to have a good translation of it on here! xx
I just realized that this song was literally a rip off a popular Japanese song from a film one year ago in 1990. That song is called 真夏の果実 (Manatsu no Kajitsu) or The Midsummer's Fruit in English... th-cam.com/video/lpXCUqZoQqU/w-d-xo.html
This song reminds me of the only girl I've loved. One that I still wake up thinking about everyday, one that I want to cherish and protect. The kind of love that makes me want to become a better person. Thanks for uploading :).
Very nostalgic....brings back memories for me when I was in High School, knowing that this song spear-headed Jacky's Career at infnite speed, energy and success! Such a loving, tender, kind and gentle song..: )

This is the Cantonese version of a very famous Japanese song. Jacky Cheung has sung many beautiful Japanese and Korean songs in both Chinese Cantonese and Mandarin. This song if you understand the lyrics mean to love you everyday. Everyday I think about you. Everyday I love you. It’s too bad music these days both American and Asian songs don’t have these type of meaning anymore and I’m even an American Chinese.
@@phuong2 It still counts as a Chinese Classic. It was translated into Chinese (in this case Cantonese) and sung in Cantonese and became widely popular in Cantonese. It is a work of art of recognized and established value. Just because it's called a Chinese Classic it doesn't mean it's origins are erased, it just means this song was very popular in the culture. The said can be said the same if this song was translated into English and became very popular amongst English speakers. Also if you're worried about people forgetting or not realising this song was originally a Japanese song, type down "Manatsu no Kajitsu" on youtube or google, it's not forgotten and people who never knew the origins of this song before (like me) do find out eventually.
I thought this was just gonna be another song with random background. Then it starts and dude got the Cantonese Romanization, AND the translations. impressed!!
This song was released by Southern All Stars on July 25, 1990. Works of this group are covered not only in the Chinese language but also in many countries. On 12th and 13th September 1992, we held a concert at Beijing Capital Gymnasium. At that time, this song was also sung.
English translation"Loving You More Every Day (每天愛你多一些)" Artist: Jacky Cheung (張學友) Album: 情不禁I'm not asking for anything, not seeking anything, struggling amidst heaven and earth when the dark night falls,After wading through thick and thin, I only want to see you. Do you know that?I don't mind a simple life, don't mind a frugal life, heaven and earth are ours, when the sun rises,In the early dawn, I get to see you. This life is already so great. When the wind carries everything away, it's you who helps me find direction.I'm not leaving you, I vow to stay here with you, this love will never die. And so every passing day, this person drunk on loveWill love you more and more, until it overflowsI found that I love to stay by your side, oh, oh...Creating many endless nights. And so every passing day, this person drunk on love,Will love you more and more, until it overflows.I want to stay with you for the rest of my life, oh, oh...Not fearing the stormy waves of tomorrow. What is fame? What is wealth? It is the sweet taste of life,But if day and night I get to see you, it's better than anything I could wish for. And so every passing day, this person drunk on loveWill love you more and more, until it overflowsI found that I love to stay by your side, oh, oh...Not fearing the stormy waves of tomorrow Oh, oh... And so every passing day, this person drunk on love,Will love you more and more, until it overflows.I want to stay with you for the rest of my life, oh, oh...Creating many endless nights. And so every passing day, my love for youWill grow more and more,I want to stay with you for the rest of my life, oh, oh...Not fearing the stormy waves of tomorrow
Hey Jay, I've been leaving comments on songs you recommended to me. It would be a miracle if you came across any of my comments but I highly doubt miracles like that happen anymore. You recommended a lot of English songs to me, I know. But I feel closer to you when I listen to the Chinese/cantonese songs you recommended. The language is totally alien to me but I feel so emotionally connected to these songs regardless. They are great songs but I love them also because YOU love them. You have no idea how much of an impact you've had on me and my life. And you'll never know...
I first heard this song in early 90's when I was living in HK... There is also Tagalog (Philippine) version entitled "Isang Tanong Isang Sagot" sang by our singer Donna Cruz... became popular in our country in 1996...
Originally speaking it was an OPM, there is also another cover version of Jackie Cheung I'll wait till you come in which Ariel Rivera sang this as Sana Kahit Minsan
