I also have trouble finding players to race with. I am new to the online mode and I am just accepting whatever I can get it. It would be nice to have the option to race vs CPUs if the lobby does not fill up.
Yeah, wonder what's preventing them from doing this. If they worry people would just end up playing against CPUs in online because of that, they could just stick with the timer system when queuing for people to join (e.g. 30 seconds max) , and if the timer runs out, fill them out with CPUs. This way, people would find games with other people regardless. There would be much less wait time in matchmaking & people would get games faster, and actually able to play even when there's no one around (e.g. non-peak hours). I wonder if they've actually considered this, but what's stopping them is just something technical on their end? If yes, I hope they get it worked out sometimes soon.
A lot of the old muscle cars work great in drag. I use the Firebird in A+, the Grand National in S, and the Hakosuka in S+. (I've also done surprisingly well with the Focus in A.
It's really good to hear that musclecars dominate in this area as it gives more reason to use and play with them but also this is the exact culture of drag racing, so it makes sense they shine here.
What build do u have on the focus? I kept the stock engine in A but it feels sluggish. It's horrible for racing but not to bad for drag tho every time i race it in drag i run into noobs but i have been beat by a variety of people so i would rank it mid
Hey Trigger, loving the Builds as always! One question tho: On the Foxbody Drag Setup: By "Basic" I'd guess you mean the actual part quality "Basic" right? Using everything from your sheet of the car it comes out as "A 190". Now I've seen the car comes stock with a sports fuel system pre installed, which with the sheet would be changed to basic. What I've seen tho, is when using the sports fuel system the car ends up as "A 209" which I would expect. So, did you put "basic" by accident or is it really ment to be a "A 190" build? :)
G wagon in s+ with the regera v8 and a 8 speed transmission for drift is super fun but be warned it does not perform well on tight drifts. I scored 400k points on I.D.K event with it my buddy beat it with the darkhorse but i like it
These videos always help me so thanks a lot. Though it seems strange that you struggled to find people to play with considering how big your channel is. Surely there must be "at least" 1 or 2 subscribers willing to help you?
My opinion about Drift Pro struggled mentally how to handle well. For Drag, thankfully, quite better how to control well with launch, switch lane and shift timing.
Maybe my opinion won't be respected in these comments but as a 55yr old veteran racing game fan I find both drift and drag events boring AF and something we have had to endure secondary to racing as part of gameplay for too many years. I find the Unbound update to the drift handling to be improved but still too slow to be fun. NFS Hot Pursuit managed to achieve a perfect balance with its drift/racing combination. A games primary function is to be fun and I find both drift and drag to be completely the opposite. Enough Criterion, please give us more racing fun and less of this! 🤷♂️ To echo the point, I quote the great John Lydon, in the dying days of the Sex Pistols at the 1978 San Francisco gig.. "This is no Fun!"
I definitely hear you and I think you’re not alone. Personally I find them both fun but to be honest, not if I’m alone and drag gets boring quickly even with friends. Drift I can do all day as long as someone is playing with me but also, I play the game for different reasons. I have a goal of testing cars and finding good builds so my motivation is different than the average player. You’re definitely not alone.

The R8, Yes. It should automatically give you the car. It did for me when I played through the story. As for the BMW and Mustang, not that I know of, No.
The new drift pro handling is absolutely garbage if you play on steam with a keyboard. Basically, you have to let off your gas all the time or else you will go to fast and slide off every corner. This means you never get to chain or do any meaningful stunts (i guess you're supposed to "ease off" on the gas like on a controller, which is literally impossible on keyboard). Its just sad that the best they could do was just lower the friction to zero and call it a day
Just build whatever you want and modify it to your licking, like he said this is his fav, your fav could be different, no car is the ultimate best without a good driver, these modes are very skill based more than car based

You're in the wrong circles. try htting up some of the Cornnut crew. Always got guys looking to group up I find B drifting sucks as the cars struggle with power, but I'm currently using an MX5. A I use a Silvia for the body kit, A+ 2010 WRX or the 350z. S is the Countach, again for the body kit. And in S+ I use the GTR. Just seems to work good. I wish the Corvettes were better, but they're all pretty scuffed. And seems like the Boss mustang is S+ is out of the bag now, I've been enjoying being unbeaten in that, lmao.

That BOSS 302 Drag setup + bump shift technique you 100% ripped off from Alex Cornut's channel; he was posted both the exact 1 to 1 build and the shift bump tec a week ago so along with "I tested all these" could've at least shoutout to the way smaller channel guy which you got it from in first place. 🤨
False. I don't watch other channels, it ruins my ability to be authentic. If by "bump shift" you mean downshifting then upshifting again to get a perfect shift, I found this technique literally 20 minutes after the Volume 7 update was live. It's possible to do on a variety of cars and It didn't take a rocket scientist to figure that one out. As far as the build goes, I literally tested everything with that car. I spent nearly 6 hours swapping engines/parts/gearboxes to figure out the best build. The fact that we came to a similar conclusion is either a coincidence or its the best build. I'm not going to search the whole internet to find out if anyone built a car the same way I did so that I can give credit to someone when I spent the time to figure it out.

Not trying to argue with you but…S+ builds aren’t that complicated. Find the best engine, slap the highest tier parts and test the gearboxes. There’s no Ratings cap. Also, you got me curious so I referenced his build and we disagree on the gearbox. He put the 6, I chose the 7. I ran faster test times with the 7 speed even though with that car you never get to 7th gear. 22.46 average time with the 7 and 22.62 average time with the 6. My engine test data is public you can reference it for yourself at the link at the end of this reply. 4 engines didn’t qualify for testing due to the lack of power/top speed or acceleration. Those engines were the 290 bhp 4.9l V8, 390 bhp 7.2l V8, 385 bhp 4.9l Flat 12 and the 304 bhp 3.8l V6 You can choose to not believe me but if you really watched my content, you’d know I do a lot of testing, don’t put out builds as fast as other channels and try my best to be me. I also don’t mind shouting out channels that help me (Simgii for example). Happy Racing!

iirc thats a dlc kit for the r32, and thats before they put them into the purchasable speed pass with everything else & have to be bought separately at a somewhat steep price.

try using the infinity with the bugatti engine for s+. Its fun, its easy, its quick and almost the same top speed as the bugatti and at some tracks can beat the bugatti.
This isn't the update too keep players in there game imo, I've done the speed pass and haven't played since I finished it, I'll log in next week too carry on my league progress then I'll not play again 😂 it's how it's gone since game came out tbh, it's a go back too when new update comes out 👍

I use the 1970 barracuda for drift in A class and I’ve won almost every pvp drift event using that car. It’s amazing

For some reason I have respected the build on the lamborghini S+ for drift but I can't seem to get it to 100% grip, it's just 80% maximum
It won’t matter for drifting. Run it the way you have it.
I find the mustang foxbody is also very good in B class. The dark horse is also quite good in A class

You used grip auxiliary in the s+ murcielago? And the handling slider is at 100% grip?
The handling slider is inactive when drift pro tires are equipped. My build sheet doesn’t really have an option for that though.

Make sure you do everything exactly, including the handling and downforce settings. Also a common problem is the gearbox, clutch or nos
