The lakes in northern Michigan are unlike anywhere in the world. Clear, chilly, and great to explore with a mask and snorkel.
I was born in 1948 and all the scenes of Michigan are my backyard. 16mm is so superior to 8mm and the scanning is first class. You should see my 8mm films scanned with a cheap scanner! haha Great film, thanks.

Awesome, this is the same family that road tripped to California and I got bummed out the gorgeous daughter found a boyfriend.
Interesting to see feeding the black bears was just as much of a “thing” in Glacier NP, Montana as it was in Ystone.
Does anyone know anything about this absolutely gorgeous family? I’m so invested in their lives. And it’s so weird to think this all happened already - nearly 80 years ago. And yeah - those happy young kids have to be about 90 now. Life is weird. But what a wonderful family they seem to be.

They went from a DeSoto to a Plymouth. Not exactly an upgrade. The ladder went Plymouth, Dodge, DeSoto, Chrysler, Imperial. See their 1947 trip to California if you wonder what I’m talking about.
