I really enjoyed watching that cylindrical grinder at work. The finish on the mandrel is first class.

Marks doing a bang up job on his. I would have liked to purchase one complete rather than building one myself, only because I’m not 100% confident I’ll be able to make everything correctly.
But either way I just want one!

@@markneedham752 It should work on a lathe with the thread milling tool mounted in the spindle but getting the 2 spindles of the Thread Express and the centre lathe aligned for equal centre height may pose a challenge.
Thread milling in the lathe is very do-able with a thread milling cutter mounted to a motorised router spindle affixed to the tool post or mounted on the cross slide and use the screwcutting gearbox to set the thread pitch desired.....Stefan Gotteswinter demonstrated thread milling in a lathe in one of his videos.

    Very clever Cliff !
I have been racking my brain on how you transfer the rotation of the spindle to the linear advancement of the carriage. One look at the threading of the shaft and the advancement nut and it all started to make sense. I know now that one end of the lever is attached to the nut on the shaft. Next is to work out how the adjustable fulcrum point connects to the lever advancement of the carriage. I know now that I will solve the linkage before too long.
My hat is off to you Cliff
