Was watching the Kilauea live cam from one side of the caldera while you were filming from the other. You had the better view. Sunny and almost balmy today in Portland, but the mountains look like a coming travel nightmare. Thanks for keeping us posted while you're on vacay, you better bring back a tan....
Chilly and rather breezy in foothills over Eugene. The amount of water sitting on top of the ground is almost unbelievabl!! Even the mulch paths looks like its floating 😂😂 grass is soaked. I’m not complaining and neither is the water table after that dry summer the west coast had. My temp gauge is reading *47 and my wet finger says it’s at least 3mph wind with gusts around 6-8mph. Fcking. Wet. Everything 😂
Thanks for another great update while out on holiday in the beautiful Hawaii! Definitely an added bonus with Kilauea. Always look forward to the daily updates and appreciate all the work put into this great channel and keeping all of us pnw’s informed
@@danielmoung9098 This video is for folks who live in the PNW. Why the hate? At any given moment and place on earth the weather is going to be uncomfortable and costly for the local residents. These type of comments remind me of a Friday evening drunk dial phone call.
@@toma5153 It is NOT hate. Did you miss the part where I said that I also lived in northwest Oregon? Because I do. I have been in oregon since 1993, I'm not ghetto guy in LA! I've experienced snow storms, wind storms, record heat in a few summers. Now this guy @santacruz59 is an unrealistic who says stuff that has not happened 'no snow in the lowlands of washington and oregon for 2025.' You do not know that 100%, he does not 100% and neither do I, that's why I'm giving him a hard time. I've been both el nino and la nina winters and I know what to expect. It IS completely to reasonable to expect lowland snow duuring a la nina winter.
Here in North Central WA we've had nothing but inversions with fog and low clouds trapping cold at the surface in the valleys for a few weeks. Sure would enjoy seeing some blue skies and sun.
Aloha! I hiked on the rugged trail to Kilauea back in the '90s as the dark descended. I stayed on the trail but I saw a hole by it. I threw a rock in it and I never heard it hit bottom. Scarry. You do know that because of the cooling of the lava over the water that a huge shelf was formed. That shelf can break off anytime. 😂
Thanks for the updates, kind of looking forward to a possible lightning strike here in Kelso just to see how it registers on our new Tempest Weather Station.

We have had mainly temps in the 20's bracket, only once did it get to 31 degrees [this last Friday.] it has been snowing lightly most of the day today. High was 27 degrees, calm to lite wind. 3,681 ft. level NE of Oroville. WA
This year’s La Niña is expected to be weak or neutral, therefore chance of snow in the lowlands could be a hit or miss once again. However, things could change in January/February. I wouldn’t put your toboggans away quite yet. Some of my last summers flowers still blooming here in the unpredictable PNW.😉
😂I grew up in San Diego. Moved to Grants Pass Oregon 3 years ago. San Diego has had maybe a quarter of an inch since October 1. Here in Grants pass over 25 inches since then. Wish I could send you some😂
La Nina isnt showing up. Far too late for it to really materialize. We are in a warm neutral ish pattern. This summer is going tonsuck because we will be so low on snow the fire danger will be maxed out in June through october. The forest service, and DNR will close a ton of areas for forest fire prevention. Fishing on the rivers will also be closed. Lakes will have a ton of allglie.
I'm really losing hope. Ridge after death ridge, that's right death ridge! For those of enjoying the mild, well I guess congratulations! Maybe things will change in late january/febraury, but again I don't have much hope for any kind of lowland snow.
Just tired of this parade of rain , showers, warm weather, rain showers and on it goes. Gotta have seasons here. If I wanted warmer climates I’d be travelling elsewhere for it.

Too bad they filled in the wetlands past 18th and Bertlesen and put up apartments and the Hundai buildings. That land soaked up water like a sponge.
