Does anyone know what the shifts do?

Shifts are similar to Offsets, but not exactly the same. In many cases applying an offset or a shift can have the same result. Basically a shift temporarily moves a line in a certain direction - e.g. applying a horizontal shift of -1m will move the line segments 1m to the left perpendicularly. A vertical shift will move the line segments up or down by the entered amount. An offset is generally applied as a “one-off” - for example if you are trying to stake something and you cannot stake out the exact position because something is in the way - you can apply an offset just for that one position. A shift is generally applied for the whole session - it is similar to making a temporary change to the position of the reference line. It can be used if the reference line design position changed slightly, or to stake out a parallel line. The line is then shifted back by just unticking the “apply shift” when selecting the line in the task page.

Can you do a video for the measure to line app not stake to line?

Seems to always take the height from the first point
Can't seem to get it to interpolate between two points

The Stake to line app allows you to select the line to stake to in the Define Line panel. In this same panel you find a Height list box which allows you to select if the height of the staked point is taken
      :
      - From Line - in this case it would interpolate the height as you describe
      - or is User entered - in this case you can indivudually define a height for each point
      - or from Start point of line - in this case the height of the start point would be assigned to all staked points.

      @@LeicaGeosystemsCH yeah....
Tried this on three different TS16's and all reverted to 'level from starting point'. Almost caused major problems on site.

Anyone figure out a solution? Has previously worked perfectly but will now only give me my height from the first point not along the line.
