Not sure about British law but in Canada if an event holder (lets say a wrestling company) has to cancel an event for whatever reason and refuses to do refunds u can sue them for the money owed. i cant remember what its called but its basically because they didnt deliver services promised (the wrestling event) they have to give the money back OR offer free tickets to another show. I've heard it happening that a Indie company couldnt make a show due to personal tragedy so they told the fans and said "if u bring ur ticket with POP (Proof of Purchase) to our next event we will let you in for free"
@jayhari1713 after they got released they setup and Indie show in the UK, alot of names were advertised one being nia jax - no one got paid, fans got tickets and show never went ahead. Last I seen fans didn't get refunds either

yeah, a random collection of stars from the era and runs a few shows with questionable booking... the only thing not universe-like is the constant closings
Me and my partner were owed refunds for tickets can’t remember how but got Stephen Gauntley number called him and it took me telling him that my lawyers were involved to get our money back that took a good 6 months. I know people who are still waiting promised refunds to this day

I remember getting scammed by a wrestling company years ago (2011) when I was a kid. Just gone back through my email and wouldn't you know who won the pony - It was 1PW & Danny Rodd! I remember they took the money and didn't send any tickets and went completelty radio silent about the event. We learnt through social media that most of the American talent that had allegedly been booked wasn't going to be there and as we still had no confirmation that the show was happening or if we could even get in without having being sent a ticket we decided to cut our losses and not go (travel would have cost just as much or more than the actual ticket) Looking at cagematch it looks like they actually had a show, but it wasn't the show that was advertised with the talent that we bought tickets to see.

1PW were involved in that pathetic Frontiers of Honour 2 show. I bought the DVD from the merch table at an All Star show purely for the Easter egg of a Premier Promotions bout between Johnny Kidd and Nigel McGuinness. Not only did the bout wipe the floor with anything else on the disc but so did the venue and crowd, a packed out World Of Sport type civic theatre versus a sparse High school gym. In the 2020s another old school promotion Rumble posts TH-cam clips of its shows and they are better attended than FOH2.
I recall when they brought Flair over. Me and a friend are still waiting for that loan back from Rodd to cover Flairs £10k fee (no we didn't stump up the full fee.)

What’s sad is like majority of these indies that come out they go way too big too soon and don’t build nothing up they put themselves in a bad position when they give the expectation that every show will be star studded with the biggest names in wrestling if you don’t have Ted Turner money chill and stop trying to be the best right away build something unique develop your own stars bring in 2 or 3 big names a card build your promotion up spend that money on marketing get followers people just don’t get it
