They definitely did this song justice. Beautiful voices, both of them.
I was privileged enough to be in the room where this happened, and my God I just want it ingrained in my brain forever. Thanks!
Mine too, for forever 😉💙
The room where it happened?!
So many words and emotions, lol.
My first thought was why is Leslie wearing polka dot Hammer pants followed by "when you sound as good as he does, you can wear whatever you want".
Secondly, as a former vocalist, Ben's posture throughout the whole thing was the opposite of how vocalists are taught to stand. Again, when you sound like him, who cares about your posture? (Aside from me, for about 2 seconds, lol).
Lastly... Two huge Broadway stars and possibly two of the best male vocalists of our time, doing their take on a classic.. How does this not have more views? How does it not have more likes? How does it not have more comments?.. I truly don't understand the world and am going to share with everyone i know.
That was beautiful
Breathtaking 😮❤
Beautiful
Beautiful ❤
I’m crying…too pretty
I think this song is from late 60's or 70's. All I know I liked this song and used to hear it a lot on the radio. Leslie Odom and Ben did a great job.😂
Poor Simon and Garfunkel I guess they never listen to their song shame
What?

Omg this is incredible!! They harmonize so well with each other. Thank you for posting!
Thank you for posting. They are both my favorite and never thought they sound so well together!
Hello darkness, my old friend
I've come to talk with you again
Because a vision softly creeping
Left its seeds while I was sleeping
And the vision that was planted in my brain
Still remains
Within the sound of silence
In restless dreams, I walked alone
Narrow streets of cobblestone
'Neath the halo of a street lamp
I turned my collar to the cold and damp
When my eyes were stabbed by the flash of a neon light
That split the night
And touched the sound of silence
And in the naked light, I saw
Ten thousand people, maybe more
People talking without speaking
People hearing without listening
People writing songs that voices never shared
And no one dared
Disturb the sound of silence
"Fools" said I, "You do not know
Silence like a cancer grows
Hear my words that I might teach you
Take my arms that I might reach you"
But my words, like silent raindrops fell
And echoed in the wells of silence
And the people bowed and prayed
To the neon god they made
And the sign flashed out its warning
In the words that it was forming
Then the sign said, "The words on the prophets are written on the subway walls
In tenement halls"
And whispered in the sound of silence
The version of this song I never knew I needed! ❤❤❤
💯

Did Leslie say “people listening without listening” at 2:24 🤨 otherwise this is literal perfection and I can’t get enough of those harmonies 👌🏼 thanks for uploading!
