I've been playing for about 10 years, a solid intermediate I suppose. I've learned that for every song a person wants to learn there are a number of levels: 1.) Easy play 3 chord version, 2.) Intermediate level usually chord correct with some riffs or embellishments thrown in, 3.) Just like the record, 4.) How a Jazz person guitarist plays it, like Wes Montgomery playing Windy. I think you are teaching these at around 2.5 which is perfect for me. Great lessons, thanks!

Hey Angela, howdy from Montana! I love your teaching, you are so patient. I play a few Beatles songs, I see you’re focusing on them right now. A few years ago my oldest sent me the complete book of every Beatles song ever written. Those boys were an amazing talent at a very special time for music. I think my favorite to play is Here Comes the Sun, and then Blackbird, and then Norwegian Wood. Thank you young lady!

Angela, I love your site. I'm an old man, however: I look ten years younger than my age. Ha ha ha ha ha! Anyway, I love playing the acoustical guitar. I have three Ovations. My favorite Beatle song is "I'll Be Back." I've been playing for over 30 years, but a person can still learn new songs. I play solo and I've played in several bars even though I was a businessman. Thank you, Thank you, and Thank you, for your wonderful lessons. Lastly, Cat Steven and Neil Young are my 2 favorite solo artists. Take care and keep smiling. Marc from Michigan

I've been playing it a little differently. I never noticed the hammer on when playing the G chord and am going to listen to the original again. Anyway, when I listen to the original it sounds like the pinkie finger is playing G on the bottom E string for most of the song except for the end of each verse when the D is played and that's how I've been playing it. I like the way that high G rings with the C, F and the first two D chords of each verse. And on the chorus playing the D they way Angela does.

I love that picture of you on the cover with a beautiful smile and nice white teeth and gorgeous brown eyes. You sure know how to pick the best of the best songs to breakdown. There's so many great Beatles songs like this one, Rain, I feel fine and the whole second side of Abbey Road, sorry but I just can't name one song. I'm in Fresno California so let's continue.

Bart From Calgary Cowtown Alberta Canada. My Favourite 3:51 Beatles song…wow that’s a University grade for 75% of score question!!! Ghee!! There are so many.. “I want You” comes to mind with its 76 bars of strong riff… but it’s not my fav. There’s also “Come together”, “Oh Darling”, “Here comes the Sun”, “You never give me your money”…but My
fav is actually off that same album
Abbey road, it’s the melody (and probably the tunes that make up its connective tissues) But w/o further 6:52 …”Golden Slumbers/Carry that Weight/The End”.. That Drum solo I kept and played via a Tandberg R to R to some Loud speakers for my father.. he swore they were right there…so that’s my favourite Beatles song/S if I had to shine the light on rack musical part somehow. Cheers.

Forgot to say, thanks, Fishman! Perhaps someday I'll get a pickup. Been using the same Barcus Berry since the 90s. 1962 J-45, what would be recommended? Are they all active? Rather not use batteries...

I got a 1968 Framus Texan 12 string from 'Santa' for Christmas i1969. I still have it and play it regularly. John's 12 string was a Framus. They have a very unique and identifiable tone. And they might be the most playable 12 strings every made. It is one of my most prized possessions. Some sngs and guitars are like a match made in heaven... this is one of them, ( a lot of bluegrass and martin guitars are that kind of match.)

I enjoy her instruction on these videos, she's very thorough and clear. But it really irritates me that after she's done teaching you the song and she plays it through, why doesn't she sing the song while she's playing it through? I think that would add a lot more to the learning experience.
