This is the best tutorial I've seen. It's easy, and well detailed
Where were you in my life when I was searching for how to make a welt pocket. I can do it but I was looking for How to make a welt with a flap. These are the best, clearest instructions I have ever seen. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
This is by far, the easiest and most common sense welt pocket tutorial I’ve seen. Pattern instructions usually direct you to handle the welt, flap and pocket bag in one operation. Adding the elements one at a time seems much easier. End result seems very precise and maybe more predictable. I will try this method soon. Thanks.
you are the welt pocket queen! this is the best video for welt pockets!!!!!i finally got it!!!!
Thank you, you're an excellent Instructor , got all the steps so easily
A very practical way of making pockets with welts and flaps - much clearer and logical than the 'text book' way, which is always fiddly. A good clear video, thanks.
Best instructions I've seen thus far. Thanks
honestly this video and the other welt video are THE BEST on youtube to help learn how to sew welt pockets, THANK. YOU.
Je suis tout a fait d'accord the best video
Another amazing tutorial. I am just cutting a winter coat out and will include these pockets on my new coat. Of course, I will practice it a couple of times on scrap fabric first, but I really want my pockets to look as good as yours and because your instructions are so clear and understandable, I believe they will be. It will obviously take me a lot longer, but even if I have to watch your tutorials over and over again, I will get there. Thank you for sharing your talents and skills so freely for us all.
Yes, practice makes perfect.
The pockets my obsession. I sewed many clothes without pokets. Because I dont know how can I sew . Today I watched your all pockets tutorials and finally I know it. Tomorrow, I will add all my clothes "pockets". Yihuuu. :D Thank you so much. 😍😘
You just saved me hours of frustration !! Thank god you're here

Brilliant - so clear, precise & professional.
Excellent method🤗
Thank you! I made a perfect pocket and it was the first time! :D my husband is happy!
Your sewing skills are beautiful!
Very nice,good work professional job
Oh, and I didn't realize there was a PDF pattern! That will make it even more accurate.
this is amazing. do you think that a "patch pocket" could be turned into a welt pocket without ruining the jacket? I thougt that the "patches" that form the pocket could be unsewed and than used as extra fabric to make the flaps.
Great tutorial! Very easy to understand. Thank you.
amazing! Thank you for sharing Diane xx
Welcome back, thanks for the link👏
Thank you, this is really useful. I need to make a pocket like this in a couple of days time, but some of the details a bit hazy.
Some of the time, it's hard to see what's being stitched to what, esp. at 1:40, 8:50, 11:15, 11:55.
Several times you say "a millimetre smaller". What does that mean; smaller in which dimension?
At 13:10, the flap is pulled "back out", but at what stage was it pushed in, and why was that necessary?
your about the best one on here Diane thank you very understanding *****
I just found your channel. Amazing instructions!

çok teşekkürler.. jilet gibi cep yaptım
Thank you so much.
Hello. Great video. Helped me a lot. Can I ask where you purchased your clipper for fabric and thread? I cannot find one that works well on fabric. Thanks
I bought it at KAVA in Montréal but on Amazon you could easily find one. I paid mine about one dollar each and I usually buy a dozen at the time because they dont stay sharp for ever
Thanks a lot, Diane. The cheap ones I see on Amazon.ca ...the reviews say that it does not work well on fabric, and it is just for thread... so I thought it was a special one you had.
Thankyu so much...
Thank you. This was very helpful :)

Thank you very much 😘😘
Thank you for the vidéo and the pattern
so nice
This was such a great video. Thank you!
this is amazing!!! keep posting please:)
How much smaller do you cut the underflap?
Hello Marko,
the under flap could be the same size if it's in the same fabric, but with different fabric, I reduce it about 3mm on 3 sides (not the top straight line)
