That young trumpet player has a bright future!!!!!
That’s wonderful… thank you!! 😀🥳😎
This song was a great hit and these guys did a masterful job !
This is silver, gold, diamond and pearl alloyed in a vase of musical brilliance.
The young trumpet guy is cool, and so great how Rick keeps giving him the motion to get to the front with the heavies!
WAY cool...young dude can blow 🎶🎵❤️
THIS SONG will NEVER get old. Sounds like new eveytime i hears it
I was just about to post the exact same thing!

Thankyou for introducing me to "Use me" by Bill Whithers. Wonderfull cover they did!
Stumbled across a gem finding this one!
Cool how Rick encouraged the young guy to step up to the front! That young trumpet dude is smooth and cool.
Sound engineer is genius.
Oh lord Jesus thank you
Mike Cottone sounds really good sitting in on trumpet!!!!!
intrepidpooch yep realy good sound. what's his trumpet?

@@Lancerlady rick braun had a flugelhorn. Mike cottone on trumpet
LOVE THIS!!!!!! GREAT MUSICIANS!!!!!!
THE HORNS. KILLED IT , AWESOME , REALLY GOOD !
Marvelous
This sounds great to me !!! Having fun making music and memories
I love Rick's technique of answering back and forth with the instruments
In music parlance it's described as "call and response"
Que c'est beau, la musique partagée de cette façon ! Bravo à ces superbes musiciens !!
Awesome and they were having big fun I could have been there love love it all Great Musicians actually the first musician I came to know up there Nate Phillips Bassist for Pleasure
This is the version he did with Boney James!! 🔥 🔥
You all are so amazing- regardless of how many times I watch this, it makes me smile with joy - Ur just awesome together.

Guy on the trumpet is a BEAST! Would love to hear him freestyle more. Anyone got his name?
Todos são muito bons!
fun to hear this song again........Hugh Masekela and I go way back hahahahahahhahahahahah
I dare you NOT to stomp your feet. Damn, this gets you movin'.
Great
Love the nice reference to Tower of Power.....this is definitely HIP.
Surprising to me that Everette doesn't have these very common tunes memorized.
👋👍
Excellent job on these two tunes. You guys sound tight with a great groove! Is that Portage Lakes?

Where is the cowbell ?
Where is it🔔
Alto’s RULE
One hot slippery frying pan replete with sizzling notes.
Mike Cottone é muito bom!
Do raymon Griffin play pearl drums now? I remember him playing Tama b4
Lol everette harp is totally playing this one by ear... LOL he is like totally lost but just keeping learning it a bar at a time
I can still hear Hugh Masekela on the horn.
Where is this at? Looks like Lake Merritt in Oakland Ca.
This performance would have really popped with Sir Michael Paulo had been playing the sax.
Is this in South Florida?
Do these guys still play together.
Who's the young trumpeter? Is that Rick's offspring? He kind of looks like Topher Grace, lol.
who is the bass player
+Earl Jones Nate Phillips on bass - what a performance!
Wow! Haters going to hate, I guess. Since I actually DO this also, I really respect and love the performance. It’s a live performance at a JAZZ FESTIVAL, and folks need to criticize because they improvise? All the players were awesome and engaged. Good communication onstage. Going to steal some licks from both the trumpet players. Tasty stuff! If anyone can tell me the chart they broke into for a minute at the 2:30 mark, that would be great…would love to do a similar mash.
Feature the young guy more!
I thought I was going to hear Grazin' In The Grass not some inspired version.
Nice, but just not the same without the cowbell.
You can tell that was improvised....not bad though.
No sir the first song is called "Grazing in Grass" by the African Jazz legend Hugh Masekela
What's it got to do with Bill Withers? Nothing. It's South African, first recorded by Masakela
The second tune they play (after Grazing In The Grass) is a Bill Withers tune.
intrepidpooch Isn't it called Use me the song after Grazin in the Grass?
Rick Braun. A run of the mill trumpeter. Nothing spectacular about the guy.
^Stop polluting youtube with your jealous drivel, cretin.
thats sounds like poop guys. I would consider not posting this video .
