I only recently started listening to plan b. I gotta say I wish there were more genuine artists like him in this modern age. His music really hits the nail on the head.
Although he swears a lot which some people might not find "respectful" this dude is honest and says it how it is. Shame there ain't more people like him in the world. True. Fucking. Idol!
This is what a man who values his self respect and dignity over the money earnt at the cost of reality. He wont forget where he came from, and we should all remember that and not try to be like others no matter how far we/you get. This guy just got himself a fan.
So because he swears he's not a role model? Plan B promotes the idea to young people that they can be something, regardless of how shit their background is- If they want to be somebody, they can. Even more importantly, he explains that people aren't just shit people for no reason.. it stems from abuse, anger and neglect yet he remains optimistic about the future of these people. You're telling me that's not a role model to younger people? You can be somebody no matter what you've been through?
Ben Drew is the most normal...with it..person i think i'll ever be in presence of..... he is open, honest and dosen't bullshit on anything.! He would put most of, if not all of our jumped up wanker politicians to shame!! this man knows whats going down, we owe you loads ben!! you have had the courage and strength to stand up and shout aloud for the 'Normal' people in this broken Britain!!you are an inspiration, and a Legend! Truly inspirational! Keep up the hard work hun!! love you!!
he is keeping his feet on the ground and remembering where he is from, fair play ,you toffee lot dont hate cose he grounded ,he is a good role model and shows it can be done with hard work go forest gate at night you wouldnt last 5 mins
He's one of the only artists in the mainstream to even bring up issues which are often real, you could see some of his material to promote what you speak of or you could see it as a story that's drawing attention to people who get no attention and problems that are ignored, like a film, or documentary, every thing I've ever seen him do since becoming mainstream has been positive for the youth, I don't understand what you see as so negative?
Still can’t beat his Who Needs Action When U Got Words. Belting album. Kidz, missing links, Sick 2 Def , the ill No More Eating and so on. He’s a genius is Ben. Writing , producing and directing films like ill Manors which was top drawer as was the soundtrack. He can do the jazz thing to Strickland Banks but I prefer his rap. The lad can even act too. Top fella.
Big man's gonna make his money. Ben drew is taking some of that money and putting in to something he believes in. As far as I'm concerned, any one trying to change this world for the better, especially when it's something I relate to, commands respect. Noones ever gonna be exactly how you want them, sometimes peoples actions will seem, often are, contradictory, but if the drive to do good is even just little stronger than a drive to save themselves, they're someone worth respecting.
U know when som1 gets to where he is now from where he's come from. u really gotta take your hat off 2 them for that. he straight up keepin it real. And it aint easy. its tuff out ere.
Seen him at westonbirt 23rd june pissing with rain ben and the band were fucking amazing im probably older than his dad but hey credit where its due they were ace
So if he sounds a little cocky about his success is it no wonder. I find his songs about what some would define"chav" culture really interesting, even if he hasn't experienced as much of it as people claim why cant he talk about those issues? He cares about those issues, so if he wants to rap/sing about it then why not, why the opposition? I'd rather hear both sides of the tale rather than only society's judgemental view on "chav" culture.
I think it's on a higher level creatively than painting tbh. Painting with words in a way people will be pleased is easily on par, connecting with younger people through poetry and going against the grain in a set in it's ways music industry can't be easy. What song's do you think are fantasy by Plan B? I know some are narratives on things that have happened and might be different but what specifically?
This is not my choice of music but I do like whatever this guys real name is....... attitude. My moan would be he doesn't need to swear and say "Like" all the time
Plan B reminds me alot of people in my area. I think he's a nice guy but some people mistake his tone of speech for arrogance. To be honest I think he sounds angry and I can understand why, it seems like he's seen a lot of shit going down as he grew up. Experienced alot of things that weren't good, and he has seen a lot of people give up on their dreams to hustle drugs in the street instead. And there he is trying to make something of his talent but he cant forget those people he's left behind.
Thinking about it he actually goes against stereotypes a lot of the time for e.g. the buziness woman video, if you watch it you'll see what I mean, he may indulge some stereotypes like say the Kidz track but there are really people like that out there who do do that shit, I don't think drawing attention to what kids are getting up to in this "21st century Britain" is a bad thing at all through whatever media possible, we've recently seen the impact of forgetting sections of society in the riots
listen plan b is from forest gate like myself its a rough area in east london but tbh our road is middle class with 5-6 bedroom houses, so plan b never grew up in a disadvantage environment. stop assuming things
mate i respect your words as you didnt come across as a pratt like some on youtube and it was a decent conversation without childishness name calling ,also lol i done a mix of ill manors lol check it out thedare283 its called, bun the herb ,but i am not no one im just trying to push my production and break in to the business as producer while like most doing my 9 to 5 , life hay ,god love a tryer ,have a good summer dizzy
it aint no play ground and some toffe nose ejit would be eaten alive on the wrong part of forest gate and even you might have to fight your way out and if its the wrong person then they will come out of the wood work like ants.dont think for a second that the back streets are like Chelsea or some normal area its full of big firm ,but if he can get out and accomplish then anyone can that all i was realy saying ,its not stereotype its life ,he aint sold out he done good and got out
Do you even listen to Plan B?? Have you heard his song "Couldnt get along" or "Missing links"?? I mean in the first line of missing links he says, "walk out the front door, what do I see, another youth selling weed." He raps about his experiences does he not? So how am I wrong? smh.
I'm not assuming things, he said all these things in his music himself. You dont have to be from a disadvantaged background to see all the rough shit going on outside your home especially if you know people who are involved in it. I'm not from a disadvantaged background but I do live in a rough area and I see people suffering all the time. Am I not allowed to speak up for them?? Is Plan B not allowed to? Why cant he?
Ahtrititc Esteemed actions when we got words.I AM now old having a moderrn Trend Krazy scene not here, When spring chicks ageing knows it's common sense helps betters older age. I Was a voice of a buddy name Buster David. When you were young
we would all do it given the the chance ,you just dont like his personality ,at least he is real east ender not like the streets pretending to be cockney , personal i like him ,i new a guy in his band and some of his mates and there nice lads all bang down to earth so im not gonna knock him ,and i think there a lot worse famous people with there head so high in the sky they cant see the floor any more or the people on it ,
Yeah but the only reason he did lucozade is that he can tell his story, yeah some money i guesss but there was something on the bottle that allows you to read about Plan B's story, so dont jump and assume its for money.
No rudeness intended but you are might be a consumer and unintentionally ignorant. He is using a medium to facilitate a negative representation of the working class and a section of the young people of our generation that he supposedly represents yet has no first hand experience with.Let me say this, when one is thinking objectively he is negatively impacting and reinforcing a stenotype, which shouldn't exist and also one that should be dismissed by someone claiming to be positive towards us.
A (what appears to be very bright) lower middle class (by his own admission) boy who affects the default UK patois and imbibes fantasy imaginings of gritty inner city lowlife then graphically regurgitates it to us from his feather-filled chez-lounge. Obviously art doesn't have to be made from first hand experience, but I dont feel that making up some stereotyped situation lifted (even if paraphrased) from elsewhere is on the same level of creativity as an expressionist painting for example.
Plan B is a true idol to the British youth! Support these dude all the way! Plan B for PM!
R-E-S-P-E-C-T....down-to-earth, honest comments from someone real, - how those comments could be interpreted any different is hard to fathom.
Think how many famous people act different in person when there’s no media, Ben Drew acts his honest self on TV & Radio 👊🏼
I only recently started listening to plan b. I gotta say I wish there were more genuine artists like him in this modern age. His music really hits the nail on the head.
I will always apprieciate ben drew's brutal honesty!
i fuckin love this accent
Although he swears a lot which some people might not find "respectful" this dude is honest and says it how it is. Shame there ain't more people like him in the world. True. Fucking. Idol!

totally agree, didnt hear of him until 'She Said' but now i got his 3 albums!!
Life is not a bed of roses 👋🙏
I think he's a good lad at heart .but it's hard to convey that in today's society.
Ben Drew is the most normal...with it..person i think i'll ever be in presence of..... he is open, honest and dosen't bullshit on anything.! I think he is great 😊 so honest as well. He absolutely genius, all my kids love his videos and songs
Still can’t beat his Who Needs Action When U Got Words. Belting album. Kidz, missing links, Sick 2 Def , the ill No More Eating and so on. He’s a genius is Ben. Big man's gonna make his money. Ben drew is taking some of that money and putting in to something he believes in. Nice comeback bro, originality level: 0.
I think I would know he is my friends cousin and he said it in a interview obviously it's all Ben drew but even he describes them as a band.xx

What greatest minds all did think Modern is much more alike. The very bitter end But Seriously" The Force?
Sorry, where does he say he is an arsehole? Or have you misunderstood?

Anybody surprised at how low his speaking voice is to his singing voice?
it's pretty obvious to me that you haven't listened to a word he's said :)..
Yeah but the only reason he did lucozade is that he can tell his story, yeah some money i guesss but there was something on the bottle that allows you to read about Plan B's story, so dont jump and assume its for money.
whys that? indulge me :)
@DizzyVizion I've never met my mum, try harder; BRO.
He is a bit like tom Harding
A (what appears to be very bright) lower middle class (by his own admission) boy who affects the default UK patois and imbibes fantasy imaginings of gritty inner city lowlife then graphically regurgitates it to us from his feather-filled chez-lounge. Obviously art doesn't have to be made from first hand experience, but I dont feel that making up some stereotyped situation lifted (even if paraphrased) from elsewhere is on the same level of creativity as an expressionist painting for example.
Don't like the guys music at all, but fuckin hell he made a good film.
You must do a little bit half of his music is what made the film
you look wired mush lol :)
He swears to much
