I love the way it looks, very european. It also has the same colour scheme as last year's emergency helicopter, so that's a good thing. I'm thinking summer's emergency airplane will match these
I really like sets that let you take the back off of the truck. Can use it for a little street clinic. A monitor would be good. Thanks for covering more than just the big fancy sets.
Totally here for the systems-within-systems. Would've liked to see the ambulance box on the donut truck frame. I feel like LEGO always moves on from each modular system too soon.
It could be a splint wrapped up for safety. I had a neck injury as a kid, and ambulance was already there because the paramedic had a kid on my team. Sometimes an ambulance is just in the right place. Easy to remove the ambulance logo to convert the truck for some other use. Definitely removing those lines if that happens.
I think the modularity aspect of it reminds me of how European style emergency vehicles are built on generic vehicle frames rather than custom chassis like in Canada & the US so you could technically swap them out for different use cases easier. And I think the able to to hotswap in the set itself is really cool play value.
Honestly I agree the removable back for a lot of these sets being able to mix and match is a good thing. I feel lego needs to get back to some 90s or 80s sets or themes that had a lot of crossplay which inspired creativity. Especially if its in these 5plus sets
Aww man, this set looks so awesome! Love the fluoro stripes and colour scheme in general. Great play value too. Would defo add a heart monitor and a friends stetoscope if building this myself.
LEGO has been killing it with ambulances recently. ...at least in quantity, if not quality. They're still outnumbered by police and fire toys, but it feels good to have this level of representation.
It's cute, and reminds me of the ambulance and helicopter set I had as a kid. The thing is, it would have been nice if they included another paramedic so you could properly use the stretcher. Also , the face on the paramedic looks downright sus.
The paper-bag thing I've also noticed with the new small orchid and the lucky bamboo, and some of the late-year sets from last year (in central Europe at least)
While it looks awesome from the outside, part of me kind of wanted this to be "4431 Ambulance from 2011, with a facelift", which this isn't because of the demands of the removable box gimmick. Then again, I suppose the ambulance helicopter from last year was "4431 with rotor blades", seeing as it had the one feature I've been missing the most from the rolling ambulances over the last decade. (an attendant with a seat in the back). I *might* get it because of how well it matches the helicopter (which I bought), but we'll see. I haven't seen all this year's city sets yet. :)
I can’t wait to see my first paper bag. I plan on using them for packing material and I really like this ambulance. It may go well in my city or my island I should say but I will wait for it to go on sale.
Besides the stripes and wheels what really annoys me is the black interior. I have this set and I must say that the shaping of the cab looks indeed really good in real life.
To me this looks like a huge upgrade on last year's 4+ set, 60403 Emergency Ambulance. It's the same basic idea, an ambulance and a small side build featuring a skater/snowboarder, but this time around the vehicle looks much more polished and built-up since it's a 5+ set. It still keeps all the prints, has much better access to the inside and the piece count is much larger at 184 pieces, whereas 60403 had only 79 pieces, and all this for the exact same price. So yeah, it may not be the cheapest City set, but it's a much better deal than 60403. Also, it goes along well with 60405 Emergency Rescue Helicopter. The only drawback, I guess, is that the side build is less substantial, but does anyone really care about that? I'd say this is a win!
I dont like the paper bags at all. Hard to open, pieces stay behind easily and u cant see if there is still some pieces inside. They take up more space in the garbage too.
4:01 they could have used the monitor from 60459. It came out in the same wave and that whole set costs 10 bucks, so how much more could have cost to add that part to the ambulance?....
The Australian market seems to get paper bags relatively frequently. I mostly saw it in smaller sets, but Rivendell arrived today and I was shocked to see all 49x bags were paper! However the internal mini baggies seem to be 50/50 paper/plastic.
would've liked to see some fancier stuff like an ekg screen like the one just introduced in the hospital bed racer, a window between the patient bay and the cab, and another paramedic. looks way too close to the ground too
Think I'd put a clear red 1x1 dot in place of one of the blue ones at the top of the windshield...and maybe one or two 1x1 clear blue slopes with red too
I personally didn’t have much interest in this set, but I love Jang’s videos because he is so relaxing. Once I saw him make the emergency donut mobile, I immediately went and ordered one. That is something I need in my city. Thank you for inspiring creativity!
Although I'm aware of the near impossible likelihood of this happening, I could imagine us getting something from Warhammer 40K and using the "cast" as a powerfist for either guardsmen or space marines. 😆
2:20 yes, why did Lego stop including alternative builds on its own proprietary themes? Some kids need that tacit permission. Others (like me) enjoyed looking at the options.
The overall vehicle looks good but the rear is too tall. It should be lower and have windows. It would also look nicer in red and white. I still think the 2013 starter set ambulance is much better but I own the 4431 ambulance
It looks good to me overall. Still not used to the color change in Rescue to teal and nepn yellow ish. From the red white hospital. I had not considered the change in width. That's an interesting thought. How do people feel about all their vehicles being the same width in the city in general?
I bought this set and it did not have the paper bags. I have gotten one bag each in a couple of 4+ sets. The build instructions were in the paper bags.
The car itself looks really cool, however I feel that almost all of the play features of this set could have been achieved with a 4-wide car (especially after seeing the window frame at the back of the car).
People are paying in the tens of thousands for Pokemon, as well many thousands in Lego. A 1-bdrm apartment can be $1500/moth to rent. Where're people getting all this money, esp. young Gen-Z'ers?
set looks really nice but i feel like the box is a little bit awkward, i dont know why. Is it the lighting? studless look? the angle? all that makes it look like bootleg lego, idk
I have to be honest: I didn't realise that was a cast until you said what it was! I like the look of the ambulance, but the interior disappoints me. I'd say this is an okay to good set, rather than a great one. But not everything has to be outstanding, right?
I love the way it looks, very european. It also has the same colour scheme as last year's emergency helicopter, so that's a good thing. I'm thinking summer's emergency airplane will match these
Oh,yeah! That's true,I have that helicopter too, definitely need to pick this ambulance up! 😊
The doughnut truck box on the ambulance frame just proves that Deadpool was correct. "Doughnut carts are basically portable hospitals...."
1:50 Emergency donut delivery 🤣🤣🤣
I really like sets that let you take the back off of the truck. Can use it for a little street clinic. A monitor would be good.
Thanks for covering more than just the big fancy sets.

Those injection mold marks on the sides of the tiles are so glaring :(
Lego has really dropped the ball with quality lately.
emergency donut 🍩🚨
When homer simson gets ingured
I love, how they're implementing those modular systems in vehicles now
It could be a splint wrapped up for safety. I had a neck injury as a kid, and ambulance was already there because the paramedic had a kid on my team. Sometimes an ambulance is just in the right place.
Easy to remove the ambulance logo to convert the truck for some other use. Definitely removing those lines if that happens.
Emergency Donut Delivery -- brilliant! 🍩
It's fun to imagine that the ambulance driver works second job as an Emergency Food Truck driver.
Pretty good looking ambulance, although my heart remains bonded with the 2011 ambulance 4431.
Love how small sets are so fancy these days
I think the modularity aspect of it reminds me of how European style emergency vehicles are built on generic vehicle frames rather than custom chassis like in Canada & the US so you could technically swap them out for different use cases easier. 😂😂 LOVE the Lebowski reference. 😂😂

Hooray the paper bags are actually real
I wish they bring back that lights and sound police piece. It would've been perfect for this set
I could use an emergency donut delivery with my coffee right now. Thanks for the great review! 😊
Imagine an American style ambulance trying to get through the streets of any Italian city. Noooope!
LEGO has been killing it with ambulances recently. ...at least in quantity, if not quality. They're still outnumbered by police and fire toys, but it feels good to have this level of representation.
This looks lovely. Wish it had a bit more space for mini figs but it feels nice enough. Thanks for the review ❤️
Tbh I would really like to see Lego do an American ambulance for once. Big, boxy, red, yellow… and with Jake Gylenhall and Yaya Abdul Mateen II 😂
Realy like the fresh look of this set with there color and desighn. Would be an awsome first aid station at a foidtruck festival. 😁😁
Emergency dognuts van like cross over looks fun great detail awesome review jang 👍
It's cute, and reminds me of the ambulance and helicopter set I had as a kid. The thing is, it would have been nice if they included another paramedic so you could properly use the stretcher. Also , the face on the paramedic looks downright sus.
1:04 I believe it's specifically inspired by the color scheme they use in Scotland
I would argue there is a large difference between what people are willing to pay and what something is worth.
Good looking set. Love the colours and clean shaping.
Drift ambulance! SOLD!
Awesome set
Great design that could work for more sets
A red and white color scheme works better IMO
$15 would be better
that's why stickers are better than prints, you can just take them off and use the part as something else
Great review Jang, as always.
The paper-bag thing I've also noticed with the new small orchid and the lucky bamboo, and some of the late-year sets from last year (in central Europe at least)
It’s the modern version of ambulances from the 80s and 90s. Still empty inside.
While it looks awesome from the outside, part of me kind of wanted this to be "4431 Ambulance from 2011, with a facelift", which this isn't because of the demands of the removable box gimmick. once again commenting to be happy that they actually have the paper bags :D even if it took so long glad to have them here
Besides the stripes and wheels what really annoys me is the black interior. I have this set and I must say that the shaping of the cab looks indeed really good in real life.

Nice to see a new Ambulance from Lego City.
🤣 we finally got the paper bags
Only took 5 years
I dont like the paper bags at all. Hard to open, pieces stay behind easily and u cant see if there is still some pieces inside. They take up more space in the garbage too.

Its very similar to the new RV. Maybe the designer is the same. I like it 👍🏻

we need a Clam truck to recreate the Clambulance from Adventure Time
Just today I started building my first set with paper bags! Been a long time coming
Just FYI Jang, paramedics don't like to be called ambulance drivers. I made that mistake once 😅.
Nobody is talking about the fact there is a Minifig with TEAL ARMS!! Last I checked, there wasn't a single teal Minifig piece since *Rock Raiders!*
The donut truck got sirens now.
Not bad looking Lego ambulance vehicle. Could have done with a license plate to make it look a little more realistic.
I really liked the reference, Dude!
I personally didn’t have much interest in this set, but I love Jang’s videos because he is so relaxing. Once I saw him make the emergency donut mobile, I immediately went and ordered one. That is something I need in my city. Thank you for inspiring creativity!
Planning to build mine soon. Thanks for video!
Why did I think it was a lego toaster for a second
I feel like the back being removed here could be like setting up a triage unit somewhere, then you just put dozens on stretchers on your flatbed lol
You could make the skater ollie through the ambulance with those side panels open 👍
It's a decent set, I don't really care for it because I don't care for the look with the removable box on the back but it's a cool system in general
I could go for an emergency donut 🍩 about now xD
I need emergency donuts!
Although I'm aware of the near impossible likelihood of this happening, I could imagine us getting something from Warhammer 40K and using the "cast" as a powerfist for either guardsmen or space marines. 😆

man what was even the point if the paper bags are still plastic-lined
paper bags!🎉
People are paying in the tens of thousands for Pokemon, as well many thousands in Lego. A 1-bdrm apartment can be $1500/moth to rent. Where're people getting all this money, esp. young Gen-Z'ers?
So is Lego going to charge more for sets now because they bags are both paper and plastic compared to just plastic before?
set looks really nice but i feel like the box is a little bit awkward, i dont know why. Is it the lighting? studless look? the angle? all that makes it look like bootleg lego, idk
Could the hospital bed soap box car fit in the back? If so I may get both sets. That can be the soap box delivery van
Is this 6 studs wide while burger truck is 8 studs wide?
So what happened to the Police line? Did lego scrap it?
This is feels like an Australian ambulance.
Great video. Thank you. It’s cute
Was expecting another use yo hands meme.
Spoiler:
But it is expected as it is a 5+ city set.
I have to be honest: I didn't realise that was a cast until you said what it was!
I like the look of the ambulance, but the interior disappoints me. I'd say this is an okay to good set, rather than a great one. But not everything has to be outstanding, right?
Paper bags look terrible
