Being an orphan is way harder than growing in bad environment.. he was alone in this world.. 2) He must have been surprised that some people fall in love at first sight. That's why he wanted to know if Dai was serious or if it was just a temporary feeling. He wanted to understand why Dai liked him. That's obviously because he never experienced unconditional love. He never experienced being cared for; he was abandoned. That's why, when Dai love-bombed him, he was uncomfortable and wanted space and to be just friends. It’s not his common sense-his common sense is fight or flight. 3) Shun made an incredible effort because, at first, Dai wasn't his type. Especially when he obviously has unresolved issues that effects not only him in his adult life but causes issues for people that try to get close to him romantically.
