Also, keep in mind that Bayo 2 is somewhat of a combo of a sequel & prequel in a way. So it's understandable that the origins or plotlines will be hard to follow no matter what.
Thats the point, Kamiya even stated that Rodin boss fight is surpassed any boss fight in the game. Single punch from him especially on Infinite one mode(Demon mode) could one shoot you and his death grip are faster than his previous game.

Eventually I did after 6 hours and got platinum rank the first time I beat him. However, my hands were hurting physically like from middle to index, but like you I just couldn't believe I did it. Also, I did beat Rodin at Bayo 2 for the first time like 2 days before beating Rodin at the 3rd game. FYI, the rank was platinum again. It was nice but nothing compared to what I had to endure at Bayo 3 which makes the victory to get Devil Rodin and his weapon meaningful. To be fair, about 2 weeks ago, I started the Bayonetta franchise. I completed the storylines from Bayo 1, 2 and 3 and defeated Rodin from Bayonetta 2 to 3 within this timeframe and I was NOT playing all day as I had to do other things. Max I played was 4 hrs a day.
So, Rosa weapon is basically deal the same amount of damage as the heavy one but with the speed almost equal to light weapon? Does she has any drawback?

How tf are you not getting grabbed by his death grip? I have tried countless times to dodge in front of him outside of Witch Time, he's grabbed me every time..
Oh you did have Pulley's at the start. Is there a way to keep this cheater on the ground? He just camps in the air on the last phase spamming afterburner kick and his death grip most of the time I try fighting him...
The only thing to do for this attack is to dodge at the right time. There's no special trick for this one, although you need really good reflexes and timing to avoid it.

Master Slimer Did u have trouble defeating Jeanne on B1? She was a pain. So Rosa must be a new character. Jubileus theme song was epic and the fight can be difficult if your not prepared. I manage to defeat The Goddess boss Jubileus on Non Stop Climax dam it was hard!!

Strangely enough I had more trouble finishing off jubileus when throwing her into the sun on hard and not nonstop climax :/ definitely was hard tho
Witch Trials increase in difficulty as you go up them, at a guess I'd say they start at Second or Third Climax and end on Infinite Climax in Trial 4 / 5 (although bosses are weakened regardless when their is 2 of them at once).
Same as Bayo 1, you get the Rodin weapon, only in this game two of the four rings are red and demon themed for the demon weapons (the limited use angelic/hellish weapons you sometimes pick up in game). As for what they play like, they allow you to use all the aforementioned weapons normally
Rosa made this fight so much easier. But she is a glass cannon.
Must say, that demon form suits him much better than that reskinned Balder from last time.

That's because the fight is always set to Infinite Climax regardless of the difficulty you were on in the Chapter Select

What setup did you use? You're 'mana' was draining sometimes but I can't see why
It's because of "Infernal Connector". It drains magic while it is being used but it summons small devils to prevent combo break.
