I was born and raised in Vietnam. I left when I was 13 and never had a chance to go back for over 30 years now. Didn't get to do any of these, but next time when I'm back I will. Thanks for sharing.
Did you get to see the jungle inside the cave? I heard they have their own cave monkeys… from what I’ve seen on TH-cam it looks like a scene from Avatar
@@greg6162 I'm guessing that's the more expensive caving, the one Tim wanted to do. I think it costs about $3,000+ and has a waiting list as only so many people can do it a year.
I enjoyed this video as I served in Vietnam in 1966, 1967 and again in 1968 as a Marine Grunt. The heat was unbelievable as you experience. Just try to imagine dealing with that along with the snakes, spiders, centipedes, wild animals, booby traps and someone trying to kill you. But the best beer I ever had was after my first patrol and getting shot at. For some odd reason their was gold beer waiting for us at our base camp. I can still taste how good it was 56 years ago. Thanks you for filming your adventure. Semper Fi
Thank you for your service! I was born in Vietnam and have been in the U.S. since '75. Thank God I have never experienced the jungle like that since I lived in the city. Thank you to Tim & Fin for the exciting video and sharing their adventures
I’m in my mid 50’s and contemplating doing the 7 day Son Dong cave tour with my daughter and husband. I was going to really train hard to get my finest up for a year before we would book to go. After watching this, I know that I couldn’t manage these four days, let alone 7 days. Watching your video was kind of the next best thing though. Keep enjoying your travels and sharing with the world. Thank you
I never stopped smiling! What I loved was that Fin’s responses were so real like I would imagine mine would be. You all went so that I don’t have to-I’m way past the age! Thanks so much for taking me there. Superb!
Great video. Did a 3 day motorcycle trip through N Vietnam in 2016. Took a spill on a rainy road. Cut up my hand. Had to get a tetanus shot, stitches ...didn’t understand a word in some tiny village, but would go back in a second. The difficulty makes the experience worthwhile!
That was amazing to watch. You both are so brave and courageous. Thank you for sharing this video with those of us that do not have these types of opportunities to travel.
Guys you are the best on TH-cam, I love how natural are you, I watched this video with my husband with no moment of feeling board, and we laughed many times and enjoyed all the trek you’ve done, great adventure, be safe and thank you so much for all that joy and fun you brought to us by your trips ❤️🙏
you both are so brave! amazing videos! thank you both for bringing this dangerous adventure to us that are not able to see these beautiful caves and scenery.. thank you Tim and Fin!!
wow, thank you both for letting me revisit Tu Lan caves. I made the 3 days tour in December 2017 during the slightly more muddy season. Didn't have to fight the heat dough 🙏. How did you manage all the shooting for the blog besides following the guide. Fantastic videos. Stuck in the isolation for the pandemic now, I gonna watch all your other vlogs, since you were at some same places I had seen. Thanks again for all the work you did and sharing it.
What an amazing adventure you had, I loved watching this, felt I was there with you. This is one trip you will never forget. It was just stunning, would love to do something like this.
FIN, i dont think you get enough credit for how hard you push yourself out of your comfort zone especially when you're afraid. you'll never know how inspired i am by you
Great vlog...Memories when looking back will be highlight of your life. I’ve been all over Vietnam except cave, Sapa, phu quoc. May need take next trip back to Vietnam again.
First of all, I love you guys and your videos! Second, both of you are effin CHAMPS for doing this!! As soon as I saw a spider of that magnitude, I would have started questioning my sanity for doing something like this and probably would have turned around lol. Then doing it in that high heat and humidity, no way. You guys rock for completing this adventure. I can't wait to keep watching the rest of your videos. Love from Michigan! =)
Thank you SOOOOO much for making this video!!! Ever since this new ecosystem was discovered, I’ve always wanted to see what the journey looked like and everything that was inside. The price and extreme physical challenge were not things I could endure. I’ve watched a few of your videos so was very happy when I came across this. My family is Vietnamese so thank you for pronouncing “Phong Nha” correctly! Your accent was spot-on, Fin! Btw, which month did you guys go?
I love watching your video, I love your sense of happiness and humor, no matter what the obstacles, hardship in front you two keep smiling and enjoy life at the moment. I love Fin’s smile. This is the second video of your that I watched. Love you both ❤️
Tin Fin you both are awesome. I came across your TH-cam channel by being locked down for COVID 19. I love it. You both are so sweet and beautiful. Not only that braver too. I’m enjoy your video very much. Thank you 🙏 for sharing your journey with us. God bless you both
Guys, that's the best trek ever, I love the videography, the music, the scenery. Wow, I'm glad Fin did it with Tim through the caves with giant spiders and venomous snakes couple feet away. What a lucky and happy couple! 👏 👍 🙌
I guess the question is, will Allison go with you if you do decide to go on a 2 day trek? Allison was a trooper and I think she did great on the 4 day trek.
thanks for making the video; i enjoyed watching it; i am a bit old for this kind of adventure; thus watching this video is the only way i can see the cave so thanks for uploading; also, it is very well put together. keep on exploring guys....we only live once.
I watched the vlogs as they first came in. Yes I watched this again. Also will probably watch in again too. 🙃 You two are freaking amazing!! Thank you for sharing. I felt your fear Fin, the bats would have sent my husband screaming out of there never to return!! 🤣🤣 How are you going to be top this one? I can't wait to see.... Much love from the Sunshine Coast of BC Canada ~ Jennifer ❤😘🇨🇦
It was pretty intense and crazy, I actually felt your anxiety and I don't think I need to go on a cave trip now, but definitely an above ground adventure, some moments lagged a little but overall I enjoyed it.
Dude! That was the most awesome, Gnarly trek every! I loved watching this video! I want to do this trek the next time in Vietnam. What was the name of trek? It looked fantastic, agonizing, and on the edge of your fears! Thanks for sharing this adventure with us.
You guys. WOW!! Another amazing video. Thank you so much for sharing your adventures. We LOVE your channel and are so glad we've found you guys!! Some of the places you squeezed through did NOT look easy. AMAZING!
This cave expedition is insane 😳!!! I'm claustrophobic...wouldn't have made it , but incredible footage!!! 💗the retrospective commentary with the video!!
This is absolutely amazing! I would love to experience something like this but I’m with Fin (arachnophobia) makes it a hard no lol! Thank you for sharing this crazy adventure!
TIM and FIN yeah I ended up watching the video again and realized you guys answered my question during the video ahah my bad. You guys have definitely inspired me to hopefully one day do a cave trip of my own! I’m canadian born viet, but I love Vietnam. Can’t wait to go back.
I prep for the day in the mornings, and then work afternoons, into the evenings. This vid killed my morning productivity. I couldn't stop watching the cave adventures. I like both your short form and long form formats. Honestly, you are both so adorable, I enjoy pretty much any living of life camera interactions that you do. Have you thought of focusing more on food next? I think getting a feel for the local dishes could be a very interesting video. Lastly, with regards to sleeping on a trek like that, a 20$ pop up mosquito tent would probably save you a lot of pain if you do anything like that again. Thanks for the vid. Your far away friend, The Lord of Death. Love and bubbles.
If you're interested in food vids, Max McFarlin has a great channel on it. He's vlogging in the Saigon area now and has that southern twang going since he's from Arkansas. Check him out.
I'd like to see you guys do Son Doong next time you're in VN. Expensive, but well worth it. No bugs or creepy crawlies in the cave so Fin would like it.
SWEEEEETTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have been in some cave traveling fulltime in our RV, but your cave look way cooler!!! When we went to Carlsbad, I learned about this cave.....SUPPPEEEERRRR COOOOLLLLL!!!!!!!!!!!

Outstanding and refreshing video... this helped open my eyes to the possibility of exploring outside the normal comfort zone (esp with a significant other). Past experiences and current times have made me weary of traveling outside home base. Other than the heat -> which in the end only made you stronger ;-) -> it looks like one of the most epic adventures possible. And to the tour company and guides that you went with -> they couldn't ask for a better advertisement. If I ever went, I'd be searching them out or feel like I wasn't getting the full experience.
If you haven't already, check out Paddy Doyle's most recent video as he did the Wild Tu Lan tour, which I believe is slightly less strenuous than the Tu Lan one that Tim and Fin did. He's also pumping out amazing videos from his Vietnam motorbike trip from north to south (episodes 10, 15, and 6 are my favorite, but episodes 3-10 are all really good!). Of course, Tim and Fin are the original OGs of motorbiking and caving in Vietnam as they did it way before Paddy and their long videos are of their adventures there are AMAZING!
First cave expedition I’ve been on, and I never got wet. The things people do. Very very interesting. They are special people. Born to show us the way.❤❤❤

this is a great video about cave hiking. i really admire how you guys travel the world as a living. I never considered this for vacation destinations but your adventure looked so fun, scary and wonderful I really want to try it. Thank you for a great journey.

Just to say hi.... we just watched
We follow you.... just looking back :)
Y'all skip this. U don't see much of cave. Just a bleach blond woman yakking incessantly.

You should make a plan first, if you want to make a tour in this cave, have to registed for years before you go.
This is so special to hear, thank you for sharing!
30 years but never had a chance? Shame on you!

I agree. It is spot on.
