The fact the scrape actually sounds great when doing it manually, I feel, is a testament to how good Odin 3 is. Been using Shreddage for about 10 years and I'm pretty sure this is gonna be my new main guitar. the last update you brought out solidified that, you're doing absolutely stellar work. great fries in Belgium and great guitar VST makers, what more could one want?
I've been doing by choosing the top 5 string notes. Eg if in drop c would go f-a-d-c-g without the notes overlapping so you get the attack of each note like a rake. And using the natural harmonics key switch
Would it ever be possible to add sampled power chords and power chord chugs to Odin 3 in an update? I just feel like the ones you draw yourself don't feel realistic enough and don't have the same effect. It's the main reason why I don't really wanna commit to using Odin 3.
Hi Maxim, is there a way to control all parameters like force vibrato, auto chord delay and knobs via keyswitch or midi cc? If not it would be nice if you could add that. Because for example if you only want to add vibrato to a certain note or change the vibrato of another note, same with auto chord.
@@SolemnTones sure! th-cam.com/video/EghietaQqxs/w-d-xo.html literally 2 seconds into this song and part of the main riff. it kinda sounds like a turntable?

for which articulation specifically? The samples already ring out extremely long unless you’re playing high up on the neck. Have you tried lower fret positions? (like frets 1-6 in position 1 in the playing=>string select=>auto menu ?)
I genuinely had no idea how to make this sound until this video. Odin 3 is so sick
Glad it helped!
yeah odin 3 is probably my favorite vst metal instrument
solemn tones is out here doing public service for us
Glad you made a video about this i managed to get a similar result... thank you for everything you do. Its tended with dedication and effort!
glad to hear!
Funfact, I was precisely trying to get that sound two days ago. Thanks for the midi file!
Now just isolate the scrape midi and put in the library so you can just drag it in.
Thanks for the tutorial man! Also lmao at the guy in comments tryna give you TH-cam advice when you're one of the greatest vsti devs of all time💀

Thank you! 🔥🔥🔥
Morbid Angel scrape? They were the OGs of that sound imo!!
Yes! Some say Pantera, others say Morbid Angel, but most refer to it as Gojira so I just had to follow that name for the title.
vsts have come a long way, this is sick
Thanks for the tutorial! I really needed that :D

Interesting !
this is also how i do it
this is what i need
I'd love to see a video on doing big chugs!
Play an audio demo of the thing you are trying to show immediately at the start of the video, then explain it. it'll do better for views
This is smart
Yes, god damn!
Thank you!
Please tutorial how to realisme tremolo picking

They can be automated already. If I want manual control over vibrato, I just draw it manually. I'll make a video on this, this week :)

OK, that's great, thank you very much
Thanks for the great tips!
Can Odin3 reproduce percussively chopped phrases like Mr. Abasi's?
got a midi of one of their songs? would love to give it a go
@@SolemnTones
Sorry, I don't have the MIDI data ...
I'm trying to copy his guitar playing and sound of Monomyth from Animal As Leaders.
I love Odin 3 but I was just wondering - is there a way to combat having such harsh note endings? They end way too abruptly and kill the realism.
Is it possible your human error noises aren’t fully dialed in? (the mutes in particular)
Is there a way to create that weird/ fast pick scrape that bands like sworn in and dealer use?
Got a link with time stamp for me to check out? I could cover it in a tutorial if I heard exactly what you were looking for :)

I love odin 3 im missing how to make the sustain longer though

Its called a Lazer Scrape
Is this easy to write on a midi controller?
what amp vst did you use?
