@@musikloco2495 oh yeaahhh
I am looking forward to seeing you perform this at the Royal Albert Hall on Saturday.
You were marvelous at the Proms!
What a powerful concerto, brilliantly interpreted by all.

This composer can extend his initial ideas infinitely. It's a gift. The ideas aren't extraordinary but his propusive power is.
What a great and deep composition!!!
What a fantastic Performance!!!
Absolutely!
4:47 is where the intensity begins… 😎😎😎
The Great ROBERTO.... amazing violist and being human. Incredible! 🙌🏽
Where was that?

hatalmas! ❤
Great Violist
presentazione spettacolare, adoro quella combinazione di bashmet e gergiev.
Gergiev somehow reminds me of the actor Jack Nicholson in the film Shining - with a slight psychopathic look. Some conductors are said to be psychopaths ... but he's awesome! Bashmet is the greatest viola-player ever - stunning performance !!!
Right!, I believe that the musician is like an actor too by telling histories with music.
Yes, Gergiev is somewhat "possessed" when he conducts but in real life he is very balanced, well spoken, rather direct person, does not care much about political correctness.
your comparison to Nicholson is very accurate! Now I see it too! Both are possessed.
11:45 is captivating - my whole life, Hills overlooking Moscow river, university and she.
Increíble, what a trip ! ❤️
Right! We are waiting for your videos!
What a wonderful trip!! ❤️🎼🎻
¡Tremendísima obra!
4:22 is so eerie...makes my hair stand up
the best version so far!
I'm waiting for Carpenter to perform, could be interesting too and very different.

this part reminds me of the fourth movement in busoni's piano concerto

Dou you know the year and the place of the performance? Thanks
рана?
These piece wrote by Schnitke before the ONLY ONE YEAR of Chernobyl nuclear Disaster ...
I don't think that is so surprising. Disasters happen every year.
It is true that Bashmet was the dedicatee of this concerto, but he made grossly indulgent interpretive choices. If you want to hear what the concerto is actually supposed to sound like, you must listen to the Kim Kashkashian version: th-cam.com/video/fNSgINTag-s/w-d-xo.html&pp=ygUoa2ltIGthc2hrYXNoaWFuIHNjaG5pdHRrZSB2aW9sYSBjb25jZXJ0bw%3D%3D
I read 'Kardashian' there for a second. But I bet she gets that all the time.
Schnittke was for too long in a shadow of big Soviet three: Shostakovich, Prokofiev, Khachaturyan otherwise he would occupy more prominent place earlier. Soviet audience was already well prepared for his new harmonies because all his fundamental symphonic works Schnittke preceded by "light" music he wrote for movies as well as incidental music. Those lovely pieces were often "light weight" versions of his more serious works, they were accessible and popular, take for example his "Declaration of love".
I'm not sure I would call them the big Soviet three. After all, Prokofiev and Shostakovich were held back by Stalin
