Learn how to create book summaries using Glide + OpenAI.
If you wanted to read only 1% of all the books that are released every year, it would take you several lifetimes.
One trick is to cheat just a little: instead of reading full books, read book summaries.
Granted, it's not the same, but the truth is that many books are filled with useless filler, and their main takeaways could be condensed into just a few bullet points.
Another issue I find a bit frustrating is that a lot of books offer generic lessons that may or may not apply to my specific situation, objectives, or personality.
Well, I've found a way to solve both problems using Glide and its new OpenAI integration.
I was able to quickly build an app that can:
One: summarize almost any book in just a few paragraphs, and...
Two: provide a list of practical applications derived from the book's lessons that best fit my specific situation.
As usual, you can get a copy of the final template for the app so you can play with it and learn how it works.
It's a fun app to learn how to use OpenAI and Glide at the same time.

Thank for watching! CORRECTION: Please note that to use Glide's new native OpenAI integration you'll need at least a PRO or higher plan. In the video, I mention the Business plan which is the next tier after PRO. Alternatively, you can use your own Open AI account and pay for the tokens used separately.

Question: Where does OpenAI get the contents of a book from?
Are the contents of a book expected or assumed to be in the data that ChatGPT was trained on?
P.S.: The Myers-Briggs test and personality types are a good idea but to many people (including me) it's just a modern version of a horoscope. No scientific validity. Plus, the results of the test can change from one day to the next. (human personality is much more nuanced and complex)

Books: Yes, it's likely that OpenAI has ingested millions of book summaries (providing they are before 2021)
Myers-Briggs: I agree. This was use just a potential sample. You could use any other test or metric instead.

Currently you cannot generate audio. You can only generate text from speech.
