Tom Bombadill was such a cool character ( minus the abduction of course). My fav book of the three books was The Two Towers. I really enjoyed the Merry and Pippin journey with the Ents. Great build btw the way Deli
After The Hobbit and The Trilogy, Tolkien also wrote a book of poetry called the Adventures of Tom Bombadil (and Other Verses from the Red Book). There are a couple poems about Tom, and others. In the newer editions, there is commentary in the back by the editors having to do with his writing style and Tolkien's lore/mythology, plus British languages and history that is quite informative if you're into background. I think the original with just the verses was copyright 1962 and worth a lot of money now. But even the newer editions are also beautifully illustrated.
This build is gorgeous! I absolutely love it and I think it's my favorite of your two hill houses. Also, it's cool that this was half speed build and half "live" furnishing. Unfortunately, I sometimes get a little motion sickness during speed builds so I can't always watch them. Slowing down the playback speed obviously slows down the commentary, too, so that doesn't really work either. That said, I really appreciate that you did half of this video at regular speed. Looking forward to whatever you have coming next!
Looveee this!! This is STUNNING!! Holy cow. I love the CC too. This is my style of cozy. I love dark cluttered, soft spaces. The bookcase with the ladder will be perfect to add to this build later on. It would be REALLY fun to see a “My dream hobbit home” video since you have mentioned a lot of clutter and no sunlight usually makes you uncomfortable. It would be really cool to see where Deli Hob would bundle up in a blanket with her dogs and her Switch in a cozy corner. Is that corner white walled? It could be a renovation of this hobbit home since I know I would be “hill-homed out”
deli is my favourite person, l feel this kind of joy when l see her and also James even though l have never meet her in person , she is my favourite person. love from India
Amazing build, like always!! Quick tip though -- if you don't like things like cabinets / bookshelves having the same objects, you can use MoveObjects to add a clutter item to cover it (I do it all the time with the country kitchen counters -- switch up the clutter jars with other jars / bowls/ etc)
this is such an amazing build!!! it might be my favorite of yours. i love how detailed and unique it is. it makes me wish i could stay there in real life! i’d also love to see you do more cc builds. they are so refreshing!
i have never seen the floorplan for bag end before. it has less bedrooms than i expected XD hobbits tend to have large families which leads to having large pantries lol bilbo's mother had 11 siblings XD they also have seven meals a day: breakfast, second breakfast, elevensies, luncheon, afternoon tea, dinner, and supper. poor bilbo had to adjust to two meals a day while traveling with the dwarves. i do have a theory that the hobbits with actual jobs have less meals because i have a hard time believing farmers and shopkeepers paused so many times a day to eat. like, maybe they skipped elevensies and dinner or something. bilbo was more part of the high society of the shire; he had the time to indulge in things like writing for fun, walks around hobbiton, and all seven meals. they also love mushrooms and smoking their pipes :) tom bombadil was rather odd. i didnt particularly enjoy that bit of the book, but i loved his song. i love that secret study, i think bilbo would totally have one if he could've. and he definitely brought back some souvenirs from his adventure (MATHOM ROOM) this is an amazing build, you really aced the coziness vibe! i can definitely see a hobbit family living here :D
as someone who lives in a flat/appartment in the uk, potatoes are AMAZING to grow, we have either very cold and wet weather or hot and dry, lots of rain especially at the moment (there is so much flooding) but the potatoes will always thrive. they are super easy to grow at home, especially for first time food growers :)
Deli i am always so in awe of your builds but i really feel you fully captured the feeling of magic and the over grown lush green look. Thank you for another inspired build :)
Love this build! So cosy and detailed. And I've always loved Tom Bombadill and Goldberry, I read the Lord of the rings-books as a child and I specifically read the part with them in it when I hade trouble sleeping. They are such strange, yet cosy characters.
23:50 about your toilet paper question, speaking as a person from a family from the countryside of Brazil with not much money to buy anything: people in the old times used to use corn cobs to clean their buns! It's crazy I know but It was aparently the most pratical thing for this task (they were tossed away after no reusing btw 😅😅)
I think I've read about people using (empty, after eating the inside) sea shells to scrape it off. It must vary a lot from place to place what people had available and what ideas developed.
Interesting! I never considered that. I know some of my older family members have stories about growing up very very very poor in rural Appalachia so I’ll have to ask if this is something their older relatives ever did.
I love your creativity style and attention to detail when building homes in Sims4 ! This is such a great build! Hobbits everywhere will be trying to move in on it! ❤❤❤
the vibes are perfect!! the kitchen is soo good and not too modern i was trying to build a 1900s wooden russian dacha summer villa and the vibes werent as nearly as cozy as this
there are moments in life where you realize you’re becoming your parents. shortly into this video you mentioned bag end and the shire and you said “where the hobbits live” and my IMMEDIATE thought was “hobbits don’t just live in the shire, they live in the surroundings areas as well” and then it hit me… i’ve become my father. oh well!
The coziest house ever. I love it❤️🏡 Almost every house's interior that I made has looked something like this I just love all these details. Two pantries in one kitchen omg what a dream
I haven't even finished the video yet but I already know that I am obsessed!! This makes my J.R.R. Tolkien heart very happy ☺ Edit: I finished the vid and I am amazed!! Love it! ❤❤
i love how you are telling us all about the hobbit, that book, along with all of the lord of the rings series was my CHILDHOOODDD, i truly adore all of them. the way you speak so fondly of it warms my heart
Of all the incredible builds you have done over the years, this is totally my favorite! I loved the Hobbit books and I imagined what their cozy little houses would look like. I think you've really done it!!! I am read to move in for real! 😃😃😃❤❤
Hey, I made a hobbit hole too! Yours is definitely hecka better than mine. lol I made mine basegame though, because I was making it for the sake of a friend who had no packs. Not that mine would ever approach yours anyway. I put a big dining room because hobbits love to entertain, and a clothing room because they love clothes. Yes, I may have read the book a few too many times...
hey deli! i'm new to the channel but have been binge watching so many of your videos for the past couple of weeks and i'm loving it!! i was wondering, how did you develop such awesome design skills? is it just from playing the sims for so long? they're amazing!!
Welcome Bec! So glad you’re enjoying the vids :) thank you! I studied Graphic Design at uni so I think that helped a bit, but mostly just playing sims since I was 10!
Hi Deli! ❤ I *think* you have a vining philodendron velvet micans plant on your shelf? Vining plants thrive naturally climbing! Provide her with a stackable moss pole, and she’ll reward you with LARGER leafs! Glad you’re feeling better!
OMG now our simmies can enjoy breakfast, afterbreakfast, elevensies, lunch, tea time, dinner, and supper in a beautiful house built by our favorite sim lady Deli~ 🥰💕
I’m totally late to the party but seeing how incredible this turned out, I feel like you could make a series out of turning fictional homes into Sims homes and it would be so fun to watch!
Butternut Squash is much easier to grow and to kill powdered mildew your plant needs good ventilation (remove old leaves if you have too many, for better air flow) and you can spray a couple of times per week with a water and vinegar solution, when the sun is setting (so it has time to evaporate between the sun is back up again, avoiding burns on the plant or yourself). I was not able to grow regular pumpkins yet, but I had tons of butternut squashes, more than I could use.
I also love the tom bombadil part in the books. A bit sad he's not in the movies, but it made reading the books long after all the movies came out so much more worth it.
I've always stayed away from CC because I find the whole thing very overwhelming. But seeing you use them is making me brave. Video idea: tips for first time cc users, maybe we go cc shopping, and see your fave creators. Would be very helpful.
Perfect little house! I have heard of people using magazine pages, newspapers, and leaves for toilet paper. Thankfully I have no personal experience with this!!!
Hi 👋🏻 Deli! I had to wait awhile to finally get to watch this today (might even be your tomorrow by the time you see this 😄. I adore everything about this. You’ve always had a gift to create spaces that are fabulous for any style, even one’s that aren’t your personal preference. This build spoke to my more homey, traditional style. But, I’m a little weird, because I like both the warm soft light of a house inside a hill or cave sitch, but also places with tons of light throughout. And I don’t know what on earth I’d do in my older years without modern conveniences like TV/video games, since reading now puts me right to sleep, even when very interested. I used to be a much more avid reader when younger & dreamt of an epic personal library with gorgeously bound books full of classy illustrations, as well as literary substance. I totally understood the phrasing of “If gingham was a dictionary, the meaning would be cozy.” I must be able to speak Deli pretty well by now! 😁 This build was all about home, warmth and comfort. I love absolutely everything about it. The CC sooo good! I love the realism style and the strong swatches. I like either gemstone type colors like emerald, sapphire & ruby, as well as softer pastels in only certain shades, so I don’t feel it’s some kinda Candyland world and I’m not really about Neons at all, except in very specific circumstances. Like for a teen character into cool graffiti, street styles, etc. I really love the exterior on this place, as well. I definitely agree with another commenter that it’d be so cool to get more circular build items like windows, arches &, oh how I wish - doors! Beyond that, I was enamored (enamoured 4 alternate spelling?) with the idea of you having a go at an elven inspired build. In LOTR we didn’t see much of Lothlorian either in interior or exterior (where Lady Galadriel lived), but we DID see a good deal of Imladris, where Elrond & Arwen lived & where Aragorn grew up. I don’t care if CC is used, but, next best architecture I can think of is Realm of Magic and possibly a few other pieces across packs could work. Ya gotta have the inspiration, though. So, I’m fine if it’s not in the cards in the near future. Maybe someday. 🤞🏻🤞🏻 I also loved the hair scrunchie & am so glad James got it for you for Christmas. Teddy Fresh is awesome. Hope you’re all well and settling Frani in. She’s adorable. The family is growing with your 2nd child (fur baby) already! 🥰 Have a lovely time, whatever time of day it is when you read this (IF you get to. It’s really long! Sorry!) I really need to comment on James’s videos more, too. I watch them all. He’s how I found you & Gluon. Anyhow, slay, girlfriend, SLAY! Can you tell I’ve been watching Gluon play Bratz lately? 😂
I can't ever seem to get it to work, time to study the videos and learn how to make amazing builds like Deli~
You can do it!
Same 😂
This is my dream house! I want to live in Hobbitton. You are such a good builder!
ME TOOO! well i dream on being a Hobbit haha
Part of the "intimidated by Sims 4 terrain tools" club 🙋♀️
SAME!!! I literally never use it cause I’m super intimidated. I don’t even create my own ponds, I buy from gallery 😅
Epic! I would watch a whole series of these kinds of videos on repeat forever. Love it too much. Hope to see more. Ciao!
Glad you enjoy it!
The books from Realm of Magic would have been good to use in the office. We could say Bilbo was writing down his story in one of those books :)
Oh dang! That would have been good
Tom Bombadill was such a cool character ( minus the abduction of course). My fav book of the three books was The Two Towers. I really enjoyed the Merry and Pippin journey with the Ents. Great build btw the way Deli
Thanks! I find it so funny he was too wierd for the movies 😂
After The Hobbit and The Trilogy, Tolkien also wrote a book of poetry called the Adventures of Tom Bombadil (and Other Verses from the Red Book). There are a couple poems about Tom, and others. I understand. I’ll see if I can make them even slower next time :)
One of the best builds I've ever seen, well done!! It looks so warm and welcoming 🥰
This build turned out so good! I love how detailed it is! Also, that scrunchie is so cute!
Thank you ❤️
As soon as you showed the inside I literally gasped! I want to live here 😩🖤
Looveee this!! This is STUNNING!! Holy cow. I love the CC too. This is my style of cozy. I love dark cluttered, soft spaces. Great idea!! Yeah mine would prob be more modern and more windows with some light stone and white walls haha!
deli is my favourite person, l feel this kind of joy when l see her and also James even though l have never meet her in person , she is my favourite person. love from India
Aw thank you, this is such a lovely comment ❤
It makes so much difference that we can style the ceilings now. The wood tones look so much better than the white ceilings for this sort of build!
Yesssss
I'm still waiting for your castle build.
Loved this one. Super cute ❤
I’m trying to think of a twist to make a castle unique!
im OBSESSED with this build its soo pretty!! beautiful work as always deli! ❤
As soon as deli laces the rug in the kitchen I hear James saying “ Ah! Batuu, yeah! “ 👍 😅
That's such a good tip tnx
this is such an amazing build!!! it might be my favorite of yours. i love how detailed and unique it is. it makes me wish i could stay there in real life!
i’d also love to see you do more cc builds. they are so refreshing!
Idk why I expected it to be exactly like the thumbnail but it turned out so cute so I have no complain 😂
DELI THIS IS THE BEST THING I HAVE EVER SEEN! It's amazing how well you were able to capture the hobbit vibes.
❤❤❤❤❤
I've never felt more cosy & warm! This build just oozes comfort!! Thanks Deli :)
i have never seen the floorplan for bag end before. it has less bedrooms than i expected XD

they also love mushrooms and smoking their pipes :)
tom bombadil was rather odd. i didnt particularly enjoy that bit of the book, but i loved his song.
i love that secret study, i think bilbo would totally have one if he could've. and he definitely brought back some souvenirs from his adventure (MATHOM ROOM)
this is an amazing build, you really aced the coziness vibe! i can definitely see a hobbit family living here :D
Wow! They love their cosy foods ❤
Deli your two last builds have been so good and full of details, everything was so well thought out and it shows! i really missed seeing your builds
Glad you like them!
So glad you’re feeling better and posting again :)) excited for this one I love cosy cottage stuff!
as someone who lives in a flat/appartment in the uk, potatoes are AMAZING to grow, we have either very cold and wet weather or hot and dry, lots of rain especially at the moment (there is so much flooding) but the potatoes will always thrive. they are super easy to grow at home, especially for first time food growers :)
Deli i am always so in awe of your builds but i really feel you fully captured the feeling of magic and the over grown lush green look. Thank you for another inspired build :)
Finally started getting to grips with terrain tools and now find it really relaxing ❤

we used old newspapers at my grandparents outhouse back in the day...
I used coleus leaves during the pandemic toilet paper shortage. They are very big leaves and also very resistant, and don't cause irritation.
That pantry cc is gorgeous. The shelving reminds me of the snowy escape kitchen stuff
You’re builds are so incredible you make things that you wouldn’t think go together normally look so freaking perfect
I love your creativity style and attention to detail when building homes in Sims4 ! This is such a great build! Hobbits everywhere will be trying to move in on it! ❤❤❤
Such a stunning build!! I’ d love to live in a house like this one and be a hobbit, eating, drinking tea and avoiding adventures 😂
This house is a dream! Love the build, love the theme and the idea. Please make more builds inspired by books/movies
the vibes are perfect!! the kitchen is soo good and not too modern
i was trying to build a 1900s wooden russian dacha summer villa and the vibes werent as nearly as cozy as this
I couldn't wait for this video!!! Perfectly done as always
there are moments in life where you realize you’re becoming your parents. shortly into this video you mentioned bag end and the shire and you said “where the hobbits live” and my IMMEDIATE thought was “hobbits don’t just live in the shire, they live in the surroundings areas as well” and then it hit me… i’ve become my father. oh well!
Haha, I actually remembered watching back that I should have mentioned this!!!
I LOVED this and I love listening to Deli talk about The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings! Such a cute and COZY house Deli!!
This is such a lovely build Deli! Glad you're back!
The coziest house ever. I love it❤️🏡
Almost every house's interior that I made has looked something like this
I just love all these details.
Two pantries in one kitchen omg what a dream
The interior really reminds me of my great grandparents style of their house and I absolutely love it!! Gives me very good and cozy vibes
Not only an amazing cozy build but a very relaxing and peaceful video. Thanks, Deli!
If the sims team is working on a fairies 🧚♂️ pack we need more windows for circular walls, circular doors, cute abstract chimneys and arch ways
Yassssss! We needs it (Gollum voice)!
deli this was incredible!! if you're in a lotr mood, how about an elven inspired home?
Was thinking this myself!
I haven't even finished the video yet but I already know that I am obsessed!! This makes my J.R.R. Tolkien heart very happy ☺
Edit: I finished the vid and I am amazed!! Love it! ❤❤
I love seeing you do different styles other than modern! 🩷🩷
Love this build! I also read the Hobbit recently as an adult. I honestly found it kind of hard to get through but still a good story!
Omg Deli this might be my favorite build of yours yet! I might be biased because it’s basically my dream home 😆 but it really is gorg inside and out!!
i love how you are telling us all about the hobbit, that book, along with all of the lord of the rings series was my CHILDHOOODDD, i truly adore all of them. the way you speak so fondly of it warms my heart
This is so gorgeous! I love it!

Nice work!
This is adorable!!, definitely get the hobbit feel from this home 😊
It turn out so cute!!!! I love it! speciallt the kitchen! also, love pierism
hey deli! i'm new to the channel but have been binge watching so many of your videos for the past couple of weeks and i'm loving it!! i was wondering, how did you develop such awesome design skills? is it just from playing the sims for so long? they're amazing!!
Welcome to Deligracy’s channel and community! 👋🏻
Welcome Bec! So glad you’re enjoying the vids :) thank you! I studied Graphic Design at uni so I think that helped a bit, but mostly just playing sims since I was 10!
I love the modern one and this one!! So cozy!! 😍😍
I love tinned peaches too! There is a brand here that has peach halves in a glass jar filled with brandy I think. Omg to die for
(the UK)
I am not a rustic/farmhouse girlie but I love a rustic kitchen. Love the build! Bilbo would happily hunker down to write his memoirs inside 😄
mygosh you look so cozy and beautiful deli love your eyeliner!
Hi Deli! ❤ I *think* you have a vining philodendron velvet micans plant on your shelf? Vining plants thrive naturally climbing!
Provide her with a stackable moss pole, and she’ll reward you with LARGER leafs!
Glad you’re feeling better!
love this build 😻 inspiring me to be more creative
This looks SO good, you did a phenomenal job 😊 I fully agree, that deep green desk is one of my fav items too
Deli your scrunchie is so so so cute
Thanks, James got it for me for Christmas ❤
This build is amazing 😍
I really like what you did with the kitchen. I wouldn't have thought to do it that way, and it looks great
OMG I LOVE THIS BUILD! I'm gonna try to do one myself! This is perfect from the outside to the inside!!!
OMG now our simmies can enjoy breakfast, afterbreakfast, elevensies, lunch, tea time, dinner, and supper in a beautiful house built by our favorite sim lady Deli~ 🥰💕
this would go SO good with the new crystal creations pack coming out! in the study there could be a gemology station
i absolutely LOVE the entryway/foyer in this build it feels so much like bilbo's it's so nice 🥺
I’m totally late to the party but seeing how incredible this turned out, I feel like you could make a series out of turning fictional homes into Sims homes and it would be so fun to watch!
That's a whole heap of greenery. I love it. Gotta try this myself!😃
I started reading lord of the rings a few days ago and watched the movies and I'm so glad that people still watch it!! The build turned out amazing
This is crazy good 😍😍😍 I'm obsessed!!!
Deli when I hear you saying lil H3 podcast sound bites it makes me so happy + the featuring teddy fresh hehe ~ love a lil crossover!
Wow I absolutely love this build! It's so cute and cozy!
Absolutely love this! You nailed the cosy vibes of the Hobbit so well :)
I loved this! It is so charming and was so relaxing to watch.
Omg 😱 as an avid fan of the hobbit book, this is absolute perfection ❤ It’s so warm and snug and yes cozy.
I also love the tom bombadil part in the books. A bit sad he's not in the movies, but it made reading the books long after all the movies came out so much more worth it.
I am SO bad at terrain, so idk how you did this but I'm impressed
So my grandmother was born in 1917. They used corn cob, newspaper, or sears catalogs as toilet paper.
I've always stayed away from CC because I find the whole thing very overwhelming. But seeing you use them is making me brave. Video idea: tips for first time cc users, maybe we go cc shopping, and see your fave creators. Would be very helpful.
Trying to make a cave for my crystals so this helps. Thanks Deli.
as a lotr fan, this was such a fun watch! i’d be so content living in a hobbit hole 💛
Very cozy, love it!
Amazing!!!!!!!! You builds never disappoint! So creative 😊😊
Perfect little house! I have heard of people using magazine pages, newspapers, and leaves for toilet paper. Thankfully I have no personal experience with this!!!
OMG LOVE THIS!! all the cozy vibes
Deli, I love your builds! They are so lovely.
This is so fricken stunning! The landscaping detail is incredible 😭
I don't ever comment on videos, but i have to say this build is amazing
Thank you ❤
I loved Tom Bombadil! Definately my favourite character from the books.
Another amazing build!! You're so creative! ❤❤

So cozy! I would love to use this build in combination with Cottage Living and Realm of Magic gameplay!
Love this build and am a big lord of the rings fan, you definitely nailed it!
Bilbo had an adventurous streak in him because he was a Took as well :)
Those Tooks!
