Thanks for that info. I now just need to find out how to add the receiver's address on the left but on the same horizontal columns if any tips on that?
I think the old way you can do this is to put the receivers address in a text box, then remove the line from around the text box, or you could put your own address on the right in the text box and the receivers address just type in normally on the left.

@@cwtek1 Yes, I highlighted the address then use the indent option. But the whole document moves. It's like the whole document is highlighted but it's not. I only highlighted the address. I'm also using the online version of Microsoft Word
@@Smurf_GT1 I have not used the online version of word, however, I do know this is not as flexible as the normal version of word. I have just tested what you want to achieve in the normal version of word and when just selecting the address it does just move the address across and not the whole document. Unfortunately it looks like this is a bug in the online version, which unfortunately I do not know how to overcome, but if anyone reading this knows, please feel free to comment.
Type your name and address, using the arrow keys move to the beginning of your name, hold down shift key and press the down arrow until you have highlighted all of your name and address then press the tab key until the address is in the correct position.
You indeed saved me a lot of headaches. Still valid even after 6years

Hi Chris, how do you put the addressee details on top left, and your address on the top right?
I think you would need to put at least one of the addresses in a text box.
Very helpful
Glad to hear that

Thank you so much 😀
When I use this method to put the text at the bottom of my letter, it make the while document indented. Any suggestions?
Please make sure you are only highlighting the address before you do the indenting.

@@cwtek1 Almost seems like it could be a bug. I appreciate your help anyways I still learned something here. Thanks
Suppose you don't have a mouse
Type your name and address, using the arrow keys move to the beginning of your name, hold down shift key and press the down arrow until you have highlighted all of your name and address then press the tab key until the address is in the correct position.
What if I'm using my phone?
I am not sure about phones, but if anyone knows please feel free to comment!
@@cwtek1 thanks because the method ypu used didn't work on my phone, so idk if it's a problem with my phone or if there is a different way to do it.
