Hello, I have been quite a big fan of your channel and been utilising every video. Thank you so much for the wonderful videos. Could you please also upload How to draw Bending moment and shear force diagrams for various elements with loading?
Interesting as a simplified calculation but no mention of the stiffness of the beam, surely an infinitely stiff beam would convert some of that rotational moment into a downward force. Youre essentially doing a rotational moment calculation with a proportion of the beam loading, sure its way more conservative than incorporating the moment of inertia and stiffness of the beam but if cost is a consideration in terms of bolted flanged connections then surely the stiffness of the beam should be considered

We will do. Thank you for your comment.
